Betimi throws her scarab and scores a hit.  But instead of injuring the creature, she hears Tomeal suddenly yelp in pain!

"What the hell... Who hit me?"

[Tomeal takes 5pts of damage!!  I told you they were annoying...  Confused   Tongue ]

New Round:

Initiatives:
  1. Simon 21
  2. Ning 20
  3. Monsters 19
  4. Nang 18
  5. Dog 17
  6. Selina 16
  7. Tomeal 15
  8. Betimi 10
Simon slashes at the creature twice...

Attack: [1d20+7] = 3+7 = 10, Damage: [1d6+2] = 4+2 = 6, Confirm Crit: [1d20+7] = 8+7 = 15; MISS!!
Attack: [1d20+2] = 2+2 = 4, Damage: [1d6+2] = 4+2 = 6, Possible Crit: [1d20+2] = 16+2 = 18; MISSED AGAIN!!

but his rapier can't seem to be able to poke through the giant crocodile's thick hide.  Simon then takes a 5' step back [To D-8] and states, "Interesting!  It seems like that creature has formed an empathic bond with Tomeal!  I wonder if there are limits, such as to the amount of wound transfer that can occur or the range of the bond?  My educated opinion would say, it's likely!"

[Ning/Nang's turn!]
Ning's eyes go wide, then narrow, instinctively he closes his tunic again to protect hisbrother.

It's onlya moment though, then his eyes narrow at thehuge creature owering over him, he angles his head up and spits a huge cone of flaming acid up at the creature [30' cone angled upward so it does not hit Dog (in E13)], he then FLIES up and back 5' angled to E8.

[Spitsear [3d6] = 14, acid + [3d6] = 8, fire] 22 acid/fire damage, DC14 reflex for half
Ning suddenly belches forth a cone of flaming acid in a 30' cone!  He points on an upward angle and instictively the giant crocodile ducks under the blast, dodging half of it...

[The Giant crocodile gets roasted for 11 damage!! ]

One of the strange flying creatures fly through the treetops about 10' and lands on the edge of the canopy of vines and giant leaves.  It just seems to sit there...

The other sits quietly and from the battle field Tomeal begins yelling between gritted teeth, "I can't stop... I'M GOING TO KILL YOU ALL!!!"

[Yup, they're super annoying... ]

The two-headed Crocodile is thrashing in pain.  One of its heads lunges for Selina and its maw grabs her by the waist, crushing her between rows of sharp teeth!  The crocodile then shakes her back and for, wanting to do a barrel roll but location of the second head foils the attempt.

Attack: [1d20+11] = 18+11 = 29, Dam: [2d8+12] = 9+12 = 21, Confirm if Crit: [1d20+11] = 4+11 = 15; HIT!!; DAMAGE: 21!

The second head aims for the next closest target - Tomeal.  It hesitates just a moment, long enough for Tomeal jump to the side, completely avoiding it's second bite!

Attack: [1d20+11] = 3+11 = 14, Dam: [2d8+12] = 4+12 = 16, Confirm if Crit: [1d20+11] = 2+11 = 13; Adjusted Attack -4 = 10; MISS!!

Initiatives:
  1. Simon 21
  2. Ning 20
  3. Monsters 19
  4. Nang 18
  5. Selina 17
  6. Dog 17
  7. Tomeal 16
  8. Betimi 10
[NEXT: DOG, SELINA, TOMEAL, BETIMI,
THEN SIMON, NING/NANG]

"Ningalu!  Get clear and help Betimi slay those damnable mind-twisters!  Simon.  You must have some sort of explosive for this sort of situation.  Tomeal...I know this isn't you.  I know you would never do this willingly.  But come at me!"

Eyes blazing with fury, the crusader of Selune drives the point of her blade scintillating blade into the double-croc ™ once again, determined to eliminate it from their troubles.

[5 points of the damage she took is withheld by Steely Resolve, so she's only taken 16 damage so far. It also activates her Furious Counterstrike, granting her an extra point of damage to her attacks until Steely Resolve resets at the end of the next round, when she would normally take the damage withheld there.]
Crusader's Strike: Divine energy surrounds your weapon as you strike. This power washes over you as your weapon finds its mark, mending your wounds and giving you the strength to fight on.

As part of initiating this strike, you must make a successful melee attack against an enemy whose alignment has at least one component different from yours. This foe must pose a threat to you or your allies in some direct, immediate way. If your attack hits, you or an ally within 10 feet of you heals 1d6 points of damage + 1 point per initiator level (maximum +5).  Initiator level works similarly to Manifester level, except any non-Initiator classes/PrCs the PC has (basically anything not from the Tome of Battle) are counted as worth half.  So Selina's 3 levels of Cleric are 1 initiator level, and her one level of Crusader makes that 2.

Attack: [1d20+4] = 13+4 = 17, Damage w/ Furious Sounterstrike: [2d6+2] = 4+2 = 6

Crusader Strike healing: [1d6+2] = 2+2 = 4

I read up and I've actually been making a mistake about this. She doesn't activate maneuvers at the beginning of the round, it's at the end. Fortunately, I've only been using maneuvers that she already had, so I'm not playing fast and loose too much. At the end of her turn, she gains a maneuver that was readied but not active. If she has no readied maneuvers remaining, she activates as many expended maneuvers as she has readied maneuvers. This means, because of her feat "Extra Readied Maneuver", she would regain three of her expended maneuvers back.

So, in summary, she deals 6 damage to Double-Croc™, heals 4 damage from Crusader's Strike, then gains her remaining readied maneuver, Charging Minotaur
Dog continues to bound back and forth trying to stay away from a tail strike from the gator that could most certainly shatter every bone in his body.  He finally lunges toward the beast's hindquarters but the Wolf-hound is thrown off balance by the sudden flash of acidic fire and the gator thrashing about in pain.

Attack: [1d20+6] = 1+6 = 7, Damage: [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4; FUMBLE!

Dex check to avoid fumble: [1d20+2] = 19+2 = 21; DC 10 Dex to avoid losing next attack, SUCCESS!!

Dog manages to nimbly avoid being left in a compromising position.

[OoC: Selina, did/do you include the +2 from the Sword and the 1d6 sonic damage? ]

[OoC2: Selina, I'm going to be depending on you to sort this crusader stuff out until I get time to read and digest how it works. ]

With eyes bloodshot with fury, Tomeal yells, "You are all my enemies!  All shall fall by my blade!!"

[Tomeal views EVERY creature within a certain radius as his enemies (even the weird flying creatures that did this to him.)  But the closest to him are three squares: Ning (in one square) and the two-headed gator (occupying 2 squares.)  So I'm giving the gator a 50% chance to be attacked, 30% chance for Ning to be attacked, and 20% for Tomeal to attack Selina who's calling to him.]

Who to attack: [1d100] = 4; Oh easily the Gator

As Tomeal had hoped, by charging the gator last round he made the gator the target of his anger if he succumbed to the 'incite rage' from the flying creatures.  He raises his sword and buries it deep between the necks of the Two-headed gator!  The beast roars as blood gushes from it's neck wound!

Attack: [1d20+10] = 18+10 = 28, Damage including power attack: [1d8+14] = 3+14 = 17; Damage includes 4pt power attack in two hands = 8 damage + Strength modifier x 1.5 for two hands +6 = +14 damage; HITT!!, 17 damage!!

The huge Crocodile is hemorrhaging blood (mostly all over Selina and Tomeal).

[Before deciding the fate of the Gator, I need Selina to let me know if she needs to add the extra magic and sonic damage to her damage rolls.]

[Next up: BETIMI,

THEN SIMON, NING/NANG]
[[You are correct. I did not include those in the damage. So it's 8 plus...
Sonic Boom: [1d6] = 1
1. So Selina actually did 9 damage]]

[OoC: Shouldn't your damage be 2d6+3 not 2d6+2?  You get +1 for strength and +2 for magic?  So with your Sonic damage (1  Confused ) you do 2 extra points of damage?

You're attack should also be +6 not +4. ]
[OoC: The attack hit anyway, so the +2 doesn't have an affect to attack. I added +2 to her 6 points of damage, 8, then added sonic damage, for a total of 9. She doesn't have Power Attack (yet), so there's no bonus there. Her Str is only +1, so no bonus from wielding a 2-hander...yeah. 9. ]
[OoC did the creature that Betimi hit appear to take any damage at all, or was it all redirected to Tomreal?]

She will target the other creature this time.

throwing shard (hits as nagical) [1d20+8] = 4+8 = 12
Throwing scarab damage [1d6] = 1, + [1d6] = 4 acid
Betimi throws her Scarab but the creature narrowly sidesteps the attack.

Simon replies to Selina, "I'm working on it, my dear.  Throwing an explosive so close to gnashing jaws is not good for ones health!"  Simon then takes a second 5' step away from the gator, so he's out of reach of it's huge teeth, and quickly adds the final component to his premade bomb.  Then he winds up and throws the vial at one of the flying creatures.

BOOM!!!

Acid Bomb: [1d20+10] = 11+10 = 21, Damage: [4d6+9] = 21+9 = 30; HIT!!; Damage: 30!

The green explosion rocks the trees and makes Betimi duck for cover.  The 5' area where the creature was sitting is just gone, with its edges slowly being sizzled away from the acid. [+1d6 next round] At that same moment the Two-headed Crocodile roars as burn wounds appear on his scaley hide too.  It's body shutters for a moment, then collapses to the ground!

[6 damage to the Crocodile]

"I... I'm myself again!" Tomeal says with relief.  "I'm sorry for losing control."

[Ning/Nang's turn...]
