Forge stares back at Simon with his usual warforge blank expression, he looks at the Sheen dustbin sitting idle in the corner then addresses Simon.
"Something is watching me..." He says to no one in particular.
"Master Simon, where do they go when they are..." He can't find the right word.
"...broken beyond repair? How come they do not think like me?" Forge gestures to the cleaning Sheen.
Ooc - I've updated Forge's character sheet to reflect his orders. Would this city have the right materials to cobble together a Warforge Repair Kit?
Forge approaches Nacesh, the sorcerous spearman, and presents a heavy sack of coins, all that he has left.
"This is for a magic wand. Where I come from, wizards and artificers use them to repair constructs and warforge like me." (688 gp, 20 sp, 6 cp)
Betimi looks at the dog, then back at Selina. "He seems to have attached himself to you. I think you should be the one to name him"
[OoC: You can likely pull together a kit in the city to help with repairs. I would think such a kit would be a lot like a Masterwork Healers kit and the Armor/Weapon smithing would work like the Heal skill except for Sheens and Warforged. ]
Quote: She gives the hound a good, solid rub along his neck and shoulder as she looks inquiringly at Betimi, Nacesh, Jonath, and Tomeal.
"I do not believe that we ever agreed upon a name. Our journey has been so hectic that we have had few moments of down time in order to discuss this."
"The dog seems to be proverbially joined at your hip," Simon observes.

"The trash," Simon replies.
"Then it's carted away to the landfill to be discarded into the sheen dumping grounds. There they are dismantled for parts, if rust doesn't claim them first."
Ooc sorry for posting from dm acc...
Nacesh accepts the weighty bag with confusion.
"I'll... I'll try to get what you need."
Ooc - is it as simple as walking into a shop or should I order something special? From Simon maybe?

[OoC: I'm not sure what Forge is asking. Maybe he wants you to eventually forge a wand? To buy a wand of Repair Light Damage would cost the same as buying a wand of Cure Light Wounds (750gp). ]

"I can't say I've done much flying," Simon replies.
"At least not outside the city. My guess would be the weather, falling, and flying creatures, which really could be anything since we will be traveling above the stain."
"In one of the letters I received from our little flying friend, was a reply from an expert of the Stain. I have some bad news. Apparently magic is also affected by the Stain. It's not exactly a wild magic zone but the effects are similar. There is one bit of good news. It seems any spell that provides Protection from Chaos will offer some defense against the chaotic energies of the Stain."

"I think perhaps the most value will be able to have the longest range weapon possible, and the least likely to be affected by twisting of magic. Leraje shall give me gift with the longbow."
Betimi takes an arrow from her packs and dissappears into the privacy of a corner behind screening shelves.

When she returns she looks sickly , with gaping sores on her face and hands, her teeth rotten. Yest she still walks with her usual, fluid alien grace, seemingly unaffected by whatever disease has so rapidly wasted her appearance.
"Amazing," Simon says when he sees Betimi's transformation. "I must say, I've enjoyed our interactions. Your, what most people would characterize as peculiar interests, is refreshing, especially from a woman. Most would run away from the creepy/crawlies while you seem to embrace and even nurture them. As a scientist who specializes in unusual creatures, especially the creepy/crawlies, it has given me hope of maybe someday finding someone to share a future with who isn't disgusted by my line of work. As thanks I would like to offer you a kind of gift. I reached out to my friends in the scientific community and while the few who returned my inquires didn't have much information, there was one that might be of interest. The letter was from a specialist whose interests lay in powers and entities from remote reaches of space and time. They say their research regarding a seal has come to a stand still but they believe you might be able to assist them. I'm not entirely sure how they think you can help but I thought I would bring it to your attention in case you did."
"A seal? I would definitely be of interest. Each entity has a personal seal, that I can use to reach through the void to meld our spirits."
Simon replies, "I will write a letter and send it off to my friend immediately. He will hopefully be able to make contact you by the time you return."
[Since hardly anyone is posting I'm going to push this forward...]
Tomeal suggests to everyone that they should get some sleep before leaving. Assuming you all take him up on his suggestion, the hours pass quickly and soon you're awakened by Forge. You all have a quick snack before leave. When it's time to leave, you gather your things and head out the door. The night is warm and humid. The smog creates a haze that blocks out the stars and most of the moon light. Lanterns line the streets offering you all dim light to make your way to the militia tower. The streets are still fairly active except most of the vendors have been replaced by harlots and hustlers, most of which are Xenians (nonhumans), beckoning to you to sample their many skills.
After a quick 10 minute walk, you find yourselves at the tower. You ascend the metal spiral staircase that's bolted to the outside of the spire. By the time you reach the top, the wind has picked up, forcing you all to cling tightly to the rails. The airship is waiting for you and you're quickly ushered abort.
"Welcome sailors," says a the man waiting for you as you step onto the ship. "I hope you've said your prayers tonight. This could be a rough voyage."
