The Kobold adds, "This mine is not that large.  It will not take long to retrieve the equipment.  Perhaps 5 minutes at most.  I would prefer this to be done quickly too which is why I made the suggestion."
"I am looking to tackle the true problem head-on. I'm confident that it will endanger the fewest of your kin."
"Let's get moving then."

She turns and hands  Ohma her silver-tipped shortspear.

"If all goes well, we will return momentarily with proper armament. In the meantime, this will  provide you some means to fight back if they come."

She looks quizzically at Selina.

"Leaving your morningstar makes no sense as you have no back-up weapon, I still have these."  One of the razor sharp crystals appears in Betimi's hand, before she let's it go and it turns into a small wisp of gas before it reaches the ground.

[OoC Tomreal remains armed with her crossbow and cudgel]
Selina shakes her head tiredly, pinching the bridge of her nose.  "I believe you missed my point.  In any case, the source of the problem is that spider.  We kill it, all problems are solved at once."
"You are right about that, but we do not aid our quest haring off after the spider and leaving these slumbering folk undefended. Ohma is willing to defend them, but if the weapons are close at hand wouldn't it be better to go get them, and allow Tomreal, Gilley, and Ohma arm and armor themselves?"

She lowers her voice, "Not to mention we cannot trust Mardak and Piper alone."
Tomeal listens to the women talk back and forth with a growing look of confusion on his face.  Finally he holds up his hands and says, "Wait.  I'm a man so you will have to forgive me for being completely lost.  Selina are you saying you want us to drag everyone, awake and sleeping, to the place Piper says our weapons are being held?  Or are you saying everyone who is a wake should go get the weapons?  Or everyone who's awake should ignore the weapons and go after the spider?"

Ohma jumps in adding, "I'm not going after any giant spider with a stick.  In any case, my place is with the unconscious and the little girl.  So I'm not going anywhere!"  She gets up, walks across the room and then sits beside the girl.

The Kobold watches with growing dispair.  "Please, I beg you come to a decision quickly.  If it helps you decide, I have a couple of magic items of modest power that I will give you in your fight!"
Selina blinks and looks at Tomeal as if he's grown another head.  "What on Earth would give you the idea that I want us to carry the sleepers with us?  No, I said we should leave them in bed, to their rest, until we find the cure for their illness.  And bar the doors after we leave.  I'm also saying that we need to focus our efforts on finding and destroying that spider."

She hears Ohma come to a decision.  "That decision is made for us, I see.  Very well.  We go to this armory, find what equipment we can take with us, bring it back here so that the defenders can defend more properly, then leave and attack the spider.  Do I have that right?"

She then glances at Mardak and sighs, whispering to Betimi and turning her head away from him  "I'd rather not take him with, if we can avoid it, but we may not have a choice."
Betimi whispers back, "Agreed, hopefully he is as helpful with his new 'bestie', whatever that means, as he has been with us. His buffonery should alert us if Piper decides to sneak up on us.  I wish we could rely on him to guard the  captives, but I trust Ohma at Tomreal's word more than I do Mardak. Personally  depending what is available in that cache I would like to see Tomreal properly armed."

To the others she speaks slightly louder. "Let's get moving. The longer we take the more at risk we are. Ohma we will bar you in the room, do you need a light of some sort?"
Like Tomeal, Jonath becomes vaguely lost in the back-and-forth about what they should do, and is glad to hear that it finally seems settled. Turning to the girl with a kindly smile, he waves, saying "We will be back for you soon - you'll be safe here in the meantime. Be brave."

He then joins the others in preparing to follow Piper to the weapons cache before going to confront the spider-creature that is behind all this.
Gilley watches the ladies go back and forth, then shrugs as they seem to reach an agreement. He follows them.
