Heeding the Gnomes words, he wanders over to Betimi whom may or may not want his company but he always liked rolling the dice.

"Hello Betimi.  You did well back there.  Remember the things I promised you the other night?"
Jonath sneaks toward the bridge to scout it out.  When he arrives at the guard/toll house, he peeks in through the window and doesn't see anyone.  He does notice from the overturned chairs and tables and the spatters of blood that it looks like there was a struggle of some kind.

[OoC: Please let me know exactly where you or any of the party is searching or looking.]
Betimi places her fingers across her lips to motion Mardak to be quiet then hands him Beast's lead rope and slips over to the side of the road and creeps forward, trusting Leraje to grant her extra stealth.

She positions herself about halfway between the party and where Jonath is peeking into the guardhouse window, gripping a crystal, ready to throw.

"Shhhh...By quiet Beast"  He looks at it and smiles thinking that it wasn't a smart animal because it was known for it's docility.  Though, he has never been terrified and surprised at the same time before.   'She left me with a Demon Mule!!!'  Once being at the very opposite end of the rope attached to the pack horse, does he feel marginally better.  'The fly attracter tried to eat me!!'

He double takes towards Beast the Terrible and shakes visibly.
Nacesh ignores the cowering fancyboy and strains his eyes and ears to perceive any signals the two scouts may send their way.

OOC - I assume this party may be foolish enough to have advanced within hearing distance of the toll house and only then did we discuss that our scouts should press forward... or maybe not. If it were my choice I'd say that the main body of the "army" (meaning Mardak, Beast and Nacesh) are at the edge of that distance or marginally closer. However, you used the term "exactly" which suggests there may be a battle grid or something which I haven't found yet...
The bridge is wide enough for two large wagons to pass each other and spans across the river around 5 miles.  It's made mostly from stone and mortar and is high enough above the Dragos river to allow a medium sized vessel to pass underneath.  There is a path that travels down the left side of where bridge and road meet.  A dock can be seen around one hundred feet away along the rivers edge.   The main part of the guard house is locate on the opposite side and is a small structure made from stone that is about 30'x20'.  An arch with an open portcullis is build into the side of the building that covers the bridge opening.  There is a solid door and a window with nine panes beside it.

[OoC: Computer at work is getting sluggish.   Saving post.  Feel free to continue or ask questions. ]
Jonath creeps around to the door of the guard house, pausing to listen for any sounds from inside, or anywhere else nearby, before slowly attempting to open it.

I obviously won't open the door yet if I hear anything inside.

When Jonath stealthily approaches the door, he notices that it's slightly ajar.  He takes a moment to lean in close to listen for noise but before he does he spots some dried blood on the handle.  Jonath makes a mental note and finishes listening for sounds but he doesn't hear anything.

While Betimi takes up her position and readies to attack, Nacesh watches for any hint from the two of them that will call him to action...

[OoC: Is Betimi actually readying her attack?  If she is then she must state what she's readying for.]
Mardak can only watch and try to figure out what's going on while keeping an eye on Beast every several seconds.
Betimi is readying to tbrow a crystal if anything appears to be acting hostile or threarens Jonath.
