Not being sure what the plan is or has changed to, Mardak just stands and waits, hoping to find out where or when their minds will end up.
Nacesh didn't mind acting as a translator or even mediator between team and prisoners but having no better idea he just looked at the others after a long, clueless silence. "Let us hit the road then. And safe return for the two of you."
"I doubt any of us could track these vermin's path anyway, hopefully whomever they captured will find life as a slave, rather than food. Let's be on our way"
The Hexblade smiles as everyone seems to be parting and making their way towards him.  Then he starts to look busy and not lazily leaning on a mule like he was for awhile now.  Which entails him looking at the mules for all of their things and in the right places, he nods when he thinks he's done doing that.

"Well hello there, we off to town then?  What did you all find out?"
"We learned that they have been raiding caravans along here for awhile now, gathering wealth for some 'thing' that they do not know what it is.  Only their tribes sorcerors know what it is, and we killed the sorceror that was with them.  We also learned that they had prisoners left with their cart, but given that we slept the night, and then dragged them with us to here and slept again,  before interrogating them, in all likelihood those prisoners are long gone. Either as food or slaves.  We have little choice but to press on and hope that we find more cluesto what happened to the caravan we seek specifically, hopefully following fresher clues."

She shrugs.

"We should have interrogated them straight-away, we let our best clues get stale.  We'll hopefully get a second chance."
She was right, of course. He hadn't realized anyone in the group could speak their language, but they should have been more thoughtful. Their actions - or inactions, as it were - may have caused innocent people to suffer or die. Still, it was too late to do anything about that now, and their best course of action was to delay no longer in helping those they set out to help, hoping it wouldn't be too late for them, as well.

"True enough, good lady. We must endeavor to be more thoughtful in the future. For now though, we must press on and hope to help those we set out to help."
"Well I'll be a yellow bellied toad."  Mardak comments as he stands there processing the previous events.   "You said they had a sorcerer?  Dang!"

The day is a bit cooler but it's not uncomfortable.  Merrick (and possibly Selena) left for Cantus to turn in the Kobolds to the local authorities.  There aren't many encounters except a few random curious animals foraging for food that keep one eye on you as you pass.  But due to Merrick's traps that he set last night, there's enough extra food so there's no pressure to hunt.  After around 6 hours of travel (you can only travel 8 hours a day) you arrive at another bridge.  Unlike the last, there don't seem to be any guards anywhere to be seen...
"Looks safe to me."  He comments about the bridge, then marches forward.  "We need to get to town, replenish our supplies, maybe even party a bit."
"Wait Mardak," Jonath says. "The last bridge had guards, and this one has guard posts, but no guards. Something may be amiss. I will go investigate."

With that he moves off the road a bit, disappearing into the brush and creeps forward towards the guard shack.

Will Hide and Move Silently to attempt to sneak toward the bridge and take a look inside the guard post.
