Valdi speaks in a loud, but not aggressive tone.
"Hold at the gate, let us get a look at you!"
Grabbing the bow and quiver that he had selected from the pile of gear he races for the ladder to the wall walk to the north side of the gate. He will ascend the ladder as quickly as possible, making no attempt to mask the sounds odf his bulk climbing the ladder.
Standing, she straps on her sword, and follows Valdi, but instead of mounting the wall, she saunters into the middle of the courtyard so she would be front and center when/if the gate opens. She watches Valdi for some intel on how his interaction is going.
When Valdi reaches the battlement beside the gate and peers over, he sees a human in a well-worn but well-cared-for half-plate, a steel shield at his back, and sharp-looking scimitar on his hip. He is not reaching for them and seems at-ease. Behind him are a trio of young humans in scale mail. You notice that none of them wear the silver stag amulet that Happs did, which may give credence to the possibility that this group of four are not associated with the bandits. Or at least they are not associated with the bandits Happs works with.
Kesten Garess:
He looks up at Valdi and says
"Do I pass your test, sir?"
Vidar mans the gate, waiting for the signal to open or prepare for battle. Axe at the ready, he peaks through the worn out cracks in the wooden gate. He looks at Andra and holds up 4 fingers.
Nexendia will climb one of the ladders to the roof she had manned during the Bandit attack. She then makes sure her crossbow is loaded and then squats down so she can get as much cover as possible as well as be able to see what they are doing if they enter the fort.
Eran hides near to the gate. If the battle starts he will increase Vidar.

"You haven't failed it yet. Introduce yourselves and state your business. Loudly, so Oleg can hear. You four look like capable warriors, which in my experience in these parts often means capable brigands. Tell us why we might be wrong to judge ye so"
"The name is Kesten Garess. We've been sent here by the Swordlords of Restov. Perhaps you would be so kind as to open the gate so that we may enter and greet our new charges?"
((Knowledge(nobility) and Perception checks, please.))
[
Knowledge (Nobility) [1d20+1] = 8+1 = 9]

Perception [1d20+4] = 7+4 = 11]
Valdi squints, knowing northing of the Swordlords aside from what was in the scrolls that sent he and his companions here as well.
"I assume you have something in writing? A writ or decree or whatnot? I could announce myself as warchief of the Linnorm Kings, that does not make it trutgh"
