Without the proper tools your regular tools don't provide a lot of help. You're unable to unlock the security box. You could try to break it open but there's a pretty good chance you would damage whatever is inside.
We have found "grippers, a black e-pick, and two batteries." Doesn't e-pick or grippers help to open them? Are they proper tools?
[OoC: You're going to need some help identifying what functions these items are for. The gripper is a long-handled tool that resemble a blacksmith’s tongs. So that is not going to help you open any locks. The Black E-Pick looks promising... ]
[FYI: When attempting to disable device on an electronic lock you take a -4 penalty (unless you have the Tech feat which Reawyn does have.) When disabling a device without an E-Pick you take a -5 penalty. Each type of E-Pick adds a small bonus depending on the security level of the E-Pick. If you fail the roll by 5 you trigger an explosion. E-Picks have 10 charges.
You're not sure what the DC of a White Lock is but it's likely pretty high considering you're on the 3rd security level (Brown, Black, White). If you find a specialist in town he might be able to provide you with more information about locks and their DC's. ]

Beyond you see bloodstains mar the floor and walls of this hallway, while scorch marks and smears of ash on the walls evidence some sort of altercation having taken place in this area relatively recently. Four tangles mounds of metal and other materials lie further up the hall, surrounded by strangely colored stains. The passage and blood stains curve to the east, and disappear.
Eva moves closer (20ft) and pokes her head around the door to see more. (ooc - perception +7, darkvision+low-light vision). She pulls back her head before the door closes at the end of the round.
E.S.S.A.C.C.U.S-10 will ready his shuriken and move to keep up with Gurkagh.
