Yeah, so we are in hurry. Let's go move.

SG implements Lugar's idea and activates his double axe.
The ants watch warily as orc and dwarf prepare to their hackaton.
OoC- Are the mushrooms a solid wall or more like a forest?
Like a forest.

Merri keeps her sword ready as she eyes the path. "The ants are not attacking, so we may be safe as long as we do not approach their food."
(How close to the ants do we have to get go around them and continue on?)
As the mantis remains pretty much cover the cross-section of the path it's inevitable to get as close as within five feet, either to the remains or to the mushrooms.

Just in case it wasn't clear enough: space-wise, it's not a tough call to squeeze through the mushrooms to avoid the ants guarding their prize. It's like a dense forest, you have to watch your steps and proceed slowly. There are no insects among the mushrooms nearest to the party, at least none anyone would've noticed. The option of chopping down mushrooms to create a new, wider path is also valid. To bypass the ants while staying on the existing path, on the other hand, seems to be a difficult task; the party would need to pass within melee reach of the nasty antsies.

Toot arches an eyebrow at the Dwarf's comment and replies,
"Me not expect elemental to be great time keeper which is why me asked it to return early. Me could more easily accept it to be mistake if there was some hint of it even attempting to return before the end of the summoning but there no sign. So while it is still possible it late, I would think it would be more likely it was attacked. And since elemental moves very fast in water (90') and made of water so not interesting to eat, it most likely aggressive predator. Maybe even our dragon."
