Aaron reflexively stepped back when Meris pulled out a vibro knife and, without warning, filleted open her arm like freshly caught fish. He had witnessed blood and wounds more gruesome than this during his paramedic training, but seeing carnage in photographs and clinical settings versus seeing a shower of blood erupt before his very eyes was a different matter altogether. (One might wonder why someone who could mend flesh and bone with a mere thought would go through the trouble of learning a mundane way of healing, but Aaron liked to understand what he was working with on more than an instinctual level, and having backup plans never hurt)

Aaron managed to regain his composure fairly quickly. He grabbed Meris' arm and squeezed. Almost immediately the blood stopped gushing and he got to work. Step one: stop the blood loss. Step two: apply anesthetic. Step 3: repair.

Flesh and metal, blood and oil; at the end of the day, man and machine werent all that different from one another.

Marcus almost immediately rushed to help, but brought himself to a halt when his brother immediately began tending the wound. He gave a sigh of relief and wonder at the way his brother started to heal her almost on instinct. He hopped he would behave as well when the time came for him to be put under pressure.
---Aaron---

Aaron manages to heal Meris' arm but it took several more applications of his healing to get it back to functioning status.  When he was done, there wasn't even a scar.  Luckily for him, he had unreal reserves of psychic energy.

(DM - Your down another 20 I.S.P. when she is finally fully healed.)
Aaron scanned the arm to make sure it healed correctly before relinquishing his grip once the procedure was complete. He eyed Meris with a critical look. You know a simple cut or bruise would have sufficed right?
Nolan is impressed.  though not as impressed with Meris. He knew that little show was for him, but he already knew just how fearless and ferocious psi-stalkers could be. It was unnecessary.

Hemoves up next to her 'sisters'. He whispers low enough for just them to hear.  "His healing skills are impressive, but she need not have gone so far for my benefit. I know full well what you three are capable of, or at least your kind. You are not the first psi-stalkers I have worked with. That is unless she truly did wish to see how well he handles shock, but that is not what I am here to assess. Best get those nerves out before the Emperor's review"
Smiling behind the mask of his helmet, he nodded approvingly at the way Aaron handled the situation, knowing the young man was more than capable. For all the jokes, he was one of the most capable soldiers this army would ever have, though he couldn't help, How quickly can that little trick heal a plasma blast Brand? He asked, his head swiveling toward Nolan and the two Stalkers huddled together.
Spying the Sergeant in full combat gear Nolan raises an eyebrow.

Is there some threat I do not know about> He wonders. With the Emperor coming, dress uniform would be more appropriate than combat gear. He's likely to get the Emperor's bodyguard a little nervous.

He decides to leave Khayman alone, the Sergeant should be well enough trained in military ettiquette to know what he is about, but Nolan makes the mental note to expect trouble.
Depends on how much meat's left on the bone Sarge! Quipped Aaron with a snappy salute. Or how much bone's left on the bone.
A low rumbling chuckle escaped the helmet of the Sergeant as he turned his attention fully on Nolan and the mutants. Stalkers, one moment before you put Marcus through his trial, he began as he stepped closer to the trio, I would have words with this gentleman.

Stopping a few feet from the man, he looked to Kora and her fellow mutant, Just a few minutes I assure you. He said, waiting for them to step away from him and Nolan.
Even unarmoured, and seemingly armed with just a pistol, Nolan does not look intimidated at all by the Sergeant in the dead boy armour.

"Certainly Sergeant," he motions to the side of the stands, indicating the lower ranking officer shall lead.

As he does he say "You are wondering why precisely I am here." It was a statement, not a question.

He waits for Khayman to voice his concerns before responding.
