Nolan simply stays quiet, letting the creature monologue only gives them more information about it's nature.

Perception [1d100]=22 vs 66%
---Nolan and Marcus---

When the creature mentioned mages, his gaze deliberately lingered on Nolan.  When the thing mentioned Dragons, his gaze deliberately lingered on Viego.

---Everyone Else---

None of the others notice anything strange.  Well - Stranger than the situation already is.
Nolan continues to hold his actions.
Marcus notices the thing look at Viego and Nolan and tenses up a bit. "Seems like you found out what you need. So you can leave these people in peace now."
---Everyone---

The thing seems to Consider for a moment. "I believe I can. They have served their purpose.  I will leave you all in peace..." He smiles and raises a finger, "If you can survive one test. It is a test of mind and will, not body. I have already come to understand you are all quite physically formidable. But Physical power is very much the least of ones potential.  And for this test, I will not augment or change any of you in the slightest. It is your own merits I wish to see. Agreed?"
Viego glared at the 'man' as it offered its deal. He didn't like it. He didn't like it at all, but he knew they would take it. After all they couldn't beat this thing.
Having already formed those thoughts himself, the Master Sergeant rose from his spot several paces and spoke, Very well, but I go first, he said with that drill instructors air of authority that broke no bullshit. He then looked to his boys, We play the game or we are dead. But If this is bullshit, you all find your strength and grease this mutha-fucker.

Then looking to the creature, well then, shall we?
Agreed.

Aaron nodded his assent. Not like there was much choice in the matter, especially after his superior already locked this path in. Didn't matter much anyways. They had a mission to accomplish and if that involved playing some mad scientist games with a magical psychopath, then so be it. That's what hazard pay was for.

Aaron had a sneaking suspicion that whatever experiment the stranger was planning, it would probably drop them all neck-deep into it simultaneously instead of forming a line, but he kept his mouth shut and waited.
Nolan steps out from behind cover, and gives Khayman a nod.

"The master sergeant is right, you give us very little choice but to accept your test.'

"Be aware though, any deception or duplicity, and we will do our utmost to destroy you."
