"We can hope.. but best to plan for the worst and hope for the best. How far is it to Appleseed from here? If it is demons, then probably best notyt to give them the advantage of night, but if it is magic users and not demons, the night would be to our advantage. It is sort of a toss up."
---Nolan---
"Maybe an hour give or take what you run into along the highway."
"Looks like we head out now. It's the best of both, we will arrive with daylight left to suss out the situation, but wuill have the nighttime if night operations are needed. Even the dog boys are far better at night than your average soldier. It will more likely be to our advantage."
---Nolan---
General Chalk stands up,
"Good luck lieutenant. Lets see if those boys are as effective as they appeared to be. Dismissed."
Viego grins finishing his stew, and cornbread. He winks at the Lieutenant, "Next time your in town I would be happy to show you around my treat. Its always fun to do the rounds. I even promise no ex-circus folk. Although Gertrude makes a mean drink from the melons she uses for that trick, I think she calls it a Titty fuck, also she runs a great little dice game if you like to gamble." Viego says with a straight face, so much so its hard to tell if he is flirting or... what.
Nolan salutes the general, then dismissed, heads to the soldiers mess to collet the boys.
---Nolan---
The Human Mess Hall is easy enough to find. Nolan spots Khayman, Marcus, Aaron and Viego just finishing up their meals with the female Lieutenant that greeted them. The Psi-Stalkers are chilling out near the APC and the Dog-boys are in their own mess hall.
---Khayman, Marcus, Viego and Aaron---
They all notice Nolan walk in and wave them over. Looks like this was just a quick stop for lunch.
Viego stands up, and makes sure to exchange information with the Lieutenant if she wants it for later. Having finished his food, he smiles and waves as he heads back to hear what 'the boss' has to say.
He remained seated and took another drink from his cup of coffee, Well fuck, so much for finishing this stimulating conversation, he said in all sarcasm, then nodding to the Lieutenant, We got orders sir?
"We do. We roll in 5 minutes, I'll brief you all on the way. Grab some of that coffee to go will you? We're not getting much shut eye tonight."
He nods at the female Lieutenant. "Lieutenant."
