Boys and our toys. Am I right, brothers? Aaron gave Marcus and Viego a look of sympathy. Despite possessing wildly powerful strength and psionics, the boys still liked their tech. Aaron probably appreciated that sentiment the most.
Don't worry sir, we'll keep you and Sarge safe if all Hell breaks loose. Marc and I can erect psi barriers and Viego has paralyzing blasts. We should be able to retreat with minimal casualties if the need arises. Aaron scratched the back of his head and looked uncharacteristically pensive. Of course, I'd rather not terminate any civilians if we can help it, even if they are possessed.

Once everyone has their this together, they start walking. It doesn't take them very long before the group of undercover Coalition special forces arrives at the front gates to the town of Appleseed. Two guards walk out of the gate shack as everyone strolls up.
One of the guards smiles broadly and asks in a very friendly tone, "How can we help you today travelers?"
"Rest and food, hopefully. We've been afoot three days, since our truck died." the old man replies before his boys can speak.
"We can trade work and skill."

Selling your defenselessness wasn't something that the Master Sergeant was at all happy about, but he figured if the shit hit the fan, he could always throw the LT into the line of fire. This thought brought a grim smile to his lips as he traipsed along beside the others.
At the gate, Khayman kept his mouth shut and let Nolan handle the guards, though he was already considering the best way to disable the two men, get inside and handle business.
Aaron materialized from behind Nolan and waved to the men. MAN, are you guys a sight for sore eyes! He exclaimed with tired enthusiasm as he slipped off his rucksack and rubbed his shoulder. I'm so parched I could suck spilled beer out of a mop right now. Know what I mean? Aaron pointed at one of the guards and gave them a nod and toothy grin. Yeah I bet you do. That lumpy ol' shed looks like it barely has room for a ceiling fan, much less some decent A/C.
Viego did his best to look tired, and appear non-threatening. Yawning he honestly wasn't sure if he was normally intimidating or not. But he tried his best to appear as just a very tired kid. Viego knew enough to know he wasn't probably the best at espionage or talking so he let the others do the talking.
---Everyone---
The two guards stare at the group for a few moments with the same expression, with grins and blank eyes. They seemed completely unfazed by Aaron's friendly demeanor. After an uncomfortable moment, one of the guards nods, "Absolutely. Come in my friends. We have a tavern here in town where you can stay."
With that, the gates open up to admit everyone. "Just down the street there and hang a right. Tavern is named Jolie's. You can't miss it."
Marcus nods and smiles, "Thank you sir. We'll head that way. You wouldn't happen to have a mechanic in town that could help with the towing and repairs to our vehicle?"
---Everyone---
The guard looks right at Marcus, but his brain seems to not really comprehend the question. Without ever loosing his eerie smile, the man simply turns and looks back toward the road without further comment.
That's not creepy at all... Aaron thought dryly to himself before clapping Marcus on the shoulder and continuing on like nothing was off-kilter.
Ahh don't worry about car man, we can figure it all out later. Not like it's going anywhere anytime soon. C'mon, let's get off our feet for a bit first. With that, Aaron grabbed his bag and started walking through the gate into town.
