Town hall? Khayman half assed glanced around and seen nothing he would consider a town hall, so he figured his six was covered by his men and moved out to check the downed creature.

I have eyes on him. replied Aaron, still stealthed on the roof. He kept track of the man while staying vigilant for new threats in his peripheral vision.
---Everyone---
The figure steps from the doorway of the building and almost immediately everyone can see he is not a normal human. Shadows swirl around as if the darkness from the recesses of the town hall couldn't quite bear to leave him. Like smoke they shifted around the man as he stepped out into the open, making it hard to determine his features.
He looks at the remains of the witchling and chuckles.
"Fascinating." His voice was smooth, but the edges of his tone vibrated like a guitar string being plucked. It hinted at power, but a reserved sort.
"And here I was under the impression that humans had fallen far since I visited this world last. After seeing you all in action. I may have to reassess that judgement."
Aaron stayed on top of the shack, squatting down on his haunches and casting a critical eye on this sinister-looking man. He was suddenly very painfully aware of the fact that he didn't have his big guns on hand.
Aaron was the first to break the tense silence. ...So you're the conductor of this puppet show then? What's your game here?
Viego kept the odd man in his line of sight. As Aaron spoke, Viego started walking slowly to make sure he had a clear line of fire on the man. He also worked to make sure he wasn't blocking anyone else's line of fire. The urge to blast the man was strong and it was that itch you couldn't scratch. Viego felt his eyes starting to twitch a bit. Still he held himself back, waiting for an order, or someone else to blast first.
Smirking when he saw Brand initiate contact with this strange man, Khayman knelt near the body of the downed witchling, though he was more than ready to unload his pistol into the newest encounter. Reaching up with his free hand to double tap his commlink, he muttered, Marcus, keep a low profile until we need you to open up.
Marcus was really wishing he had his vibroblade after seeing this …thing. He wasn't sure was a person to be honest, but everything about it set his teeth on edge. When he heard the Sarge tell him to keep a low profile but be ready, he couldn't even give a proper response, his attention was so focused on this new threat that he just nodded in response.
---Everyone---
The being rubs it's chin. He looked mostly like a normal human male, save the odd shadows clinging to him, and of course the unnerving sound of his voice.
"I was given leave to experiment on this town in exchange for not slaughtering those who summoned me. The deal was a fair one."
He smirks,
"Though it seems as though you didn't get … what's the word... the memo?" He chuckles.
"Regardless, your arrival was most fortuitous. My findings were very much lacking before the five of you arrived. You have really changed my data. I will have to throw all my conclusions out the window now!" The man looked genuinely pleased, hell he seemed almost giddy.
"How exciting!"
Viego glared at the man. He wasn't sure what he was talking about, but the being summoned bit made Viego itch to attack the 'man'. All the experiment stuff was way more Aaron's field then his so he left that to him. He felt his muscles bunching and preparing for a fight, he knew he was straining at the leash that the captain had him on. Yet he like that too.
Marcus felt like his skin was crawling just looking at this thing. Every fiber of his being ached to destroy this fucker, but somewhere in the back of his head cautioned restraint. "Who are you?" He paused for only a few seconds before adding. "What are you?"
