That's possible. But maybe you should start with asking him his name. Although it could be a running joke that he's forever known just as, Guard. [WHITE SMILING FACE]

She did just ask him his name...But you're right, that would be funny.
Guard 1, Guard 2 and Guard 3.. More glorious than their nicknames, 'Guinea Pig', 'Crossbow Fodder' and 'Meat shield'
Ooo Ooo I wanna be Guinea Pig :p

Not to mention, the nicknames you mention are less subtle and might tip off their importance (or unimportance) in the party.  Tongue

I can either write him up as an NPC and play him as another player in the party or have him hang around as an eventual cohort.  Either one is fine by me.  Of course if he's a cohort then you will have more control over his actions then if I play him.  But if you're alright with controlling another character and keeping up with his character sheet maintenance then that's cool with me.
Oh and if you do want him as a cohort, let me know what class you would like him to be.  If you don't then I will pick.  Hmmmmm... how does a Paladin sound joining a group with a Binder and a Hexblade.  Big Grin
Hah! I was seriously considering that. Loads of rp right there. Fighter or paladin might actually fit best, considering. And our beguilet and hexblade are both neutral. And selune is chaotic.
The soldier has already been a manipulative little scheming son of a dick, so he can't be a Paladin.  A fighter maybe.  Then again, he has to be good to be a cohort of a Priest that's in a good group.
How has he been a manipulative and scheming dick? He has been nice to everyone. He just didn't like you almost getting everyone killed. How evil of him! String him up! Hang him from his eye lids and punch in the balls until he blinks!!

Lol! Also, he's not required to be good to be a cohort at all. He just has to be close to his leader's alignment. If he's a paladin, however, he has to be lawful good and cannot associate with anyone who is evil. Additionally...paladins don't have a rule against being manipulative, just in dealing fairly and not lying, cheating, etc.
