Rat Kings Bite Attack: 1d20+5 = 10 - Miss!

(DM - Next Round!)
If Mivia needs to move to get a better shot, she will.

She then loads and fires her light crossbow.

Range attack: [1d20+5]=15+5=20, Damage: [1d8+3]=8+3=11
Kriv mutters to himself, something in draconic about the rats in the Sword Coast are much bigger than at home. He again casts firebolt at the beast.

Attack: 1d20+7=17
Firebolt Damage: 1d20=5
Arius follows up the successful attack with a quick flurry, cracking the whip twice in quick succession.

[Using his Action Surge]

whip (melee) [1d20+6]=18+6=24, damage [1d4+6]=4+6=10
Whip [1d20+6]=1+6=7; Damage [1d4+6]=3+6=9

The first strike tears into the rat kings flank, buit it's natural inclination to flinch away causes his second strike to miss.
Nightingale bounces around past the sizable mass of the rat king to situate herself in a flanking position with Arius, forcing the massive creature to divert its attention between the two of them.
She slams her baton down on the king rat's hindquarters then gives a swift kick to the inside of one of it's back legs.

(Moving into a flanking position so these attacks are rolled with advantage)
Attack 1: 2d20k1+6 25
Damage 1: 1d6+4 8
Attack 2: 2d20k1+6 21
Damage 2: 1d4+4 7
Athos sends a bolt of electricity at the rat king.

Storm Strike: 1d20+6 = 17
Storm Strike Damage: 1d10 = 7
---Everyone---

The adventures launch a barrage of attacks against the Rat King.  The massive creature has little to no time to actually react.  An onslaught of blade, magic and whip cut into it, tearing the massive beast to ribbons.

It falls dead onto the stony floor and the cavern becomes silent save the steady drip of water the pervades the murky depths. No longer do any of you hear slight squeaks or scratching that echoed along the tunnels before.

(DM - Combat Ends.  Roll Perception if any of you want to search for Treasure or anything that might be useful in this area.)
Kriv is interested in seeing if there is anything of value in the area so he begins to search.

Perception: 1d20+3=13
Nightingale smiled as the massive rat fell and she looked around at her companions. Maybe this crew would survive this venture after all, they seemed to work well together.

She moved into the wider area the rats were in, on the lookout for any more danger; more wild animals, loose rocks, traps potentially.
