Athos levels his gaze at the rat running up the stairs.  He fires another electrical bolt, this time at the rat not struck by Kriv.

Stormbolt Attack: 1d20+6 = 24
Stormbolt Damage: 1d10 = 7
Kriv grunts as the rats keep coming he aims at the same one he had previously trying to finish the thing off as he releases another firebolt.

Arius flashes his whip toward one the last rats to remain standing, but misses.

The Rat that Arius attacked rushes toward him to attack, but Mivia interrupts the creature with a Blast of magic and kills it instantly.

Nightingale hurls a dart toward a rat just entering the room.  The dart neatly slices into the creature spraying the moldy stones with blood.  The rat keeps charging.

Athos targets the same rat with a bolt of electrical power, blasting the rat off its feet and leaving it charred and dead.

Kriv holds his action.

(DM - Kriv, all enemies are dead or unconscious. You can move within 5 feet of an unconscious opponent to gain an automatic critical or continue with your listed action.)

Wordlessly Arius draws his rapier and steps forward to thrust it into the nearest sleeping rat.

Rapier coup de grace [2d6+6] = 8+6 = 14
Kriv waits to see if others are going to help, if not he will blast the sleeping rat that remains.

Weary of their jagged teeth and claws, Nightingale hangs back while the others finish off the sleeping beasts, ready to move in should she need to.
---Everyone---

All the rats in the room are dead now and everyone can catch their breath. These rats were all about the size of small dogs, so they were certainly not the normal type.

{Combat Ends}

(DM - Everyone roll Perception.)

(DM - Optional Checks - I will not always call for a skill check.  In certain situations it's up to the player to initiate the check or they will simply miss the clue or advantage given from such a check. In this case for those of you who are new to my games, you can roll Nature to Identify what sort of rats you fought and / or Perception again, (just label which Perception check is for what) to see if there is anything valuable the creatures might have ingested or stole from previous victims.)
