the one to the front is open and was where Edgrin indicated to go.
Arielle glances back at Dunndero, sees him direct her, and nods, her wings brushing and flapping everywhere as she attempts to sneak about. She sniffs in the direction indicated, peering off into the darkness.
turning the corner going to the left as indicated by Lucian, Arielle sniffed the air, and all she could smell was the stale sweat of the group. Toryn moved forward to the doors as the group paused before the doors.
Arielle doesn’t need to relay the information back to Satoru, who has been transferring his consciousness to hers to see through her eyes and smell through her nose. His nose puckers a bit, but he decides not to comment on that.
Instead, he whispers to everyone around him “She doesn’t smell anything unusual towards the door, but it could be blocked or overwhelmed by something else."
Toryn pressed an ear to the door, then quietly tested them to see if they were unlocked. He then made a pantomime of opening the door and looked at the group questioningly, silently asking if they wanted to enter right now.
Perception = 8
Lucian looks at the group, "We need make sure the room is cleared before we proceed."
The Wizard continues, "Though we all should not be standing in front of the door when we try to open it. We need to pull back and stand on either side to avoid any potential traps. Error on the side of caution. As well, if an enemy rushes at us from inside the room, we will be able to flank them when they reach the hallway."
"Everyone back up, half right / half left to avoid any traps. Toryn open the door after you have thoroughly checked it. Saturo if you can keep your summon guarding him while he checks. Kallista and Dun, pull back with the rest of us. Once Toryn clears it of traps, take point again with Saturo's summon. If nothing rushes us, we can move in and clear the room."
(Action - pulls back around the corner and casts his shield.)
Turning around, the paladin began nudging people back and out of her way. Stopping at the corner of the hall, she then turned and shield and sword raised, waited for Toryn to complete his business.
The party moves back to either side of the intersection at Lucians request, except Toryn and Arielle. Toryn looked over the door and determined there were no traps on it.
Kallista edged forward, the summoner's fey notwithstanding, she needed to keep an eye on her gnomish friend in case of trouble.
Having received go-ahead, Toryn went ahead and gingerly opened one of the doors, still trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.
