Shunna moves to the panel where the Talz is randomly smashing buttons and says, "I thought I heard your kind picked up tech quickly.  Let me take over here.  You go to the south door and I will try my luck at smashing random buttons!"  

When the Talz steps away, Shunna will try to figure out which button to push to lift the stairs just enough so the creature can reach up and climb out of his cage.

[OoC: Use Computer +3; Result: 21!!; WOOT! ]

If she's successful, Shunna will scurry to the southern door and roll under it.  If for some reason it tries to reach under the door, Shunna will strike at the floor in front of the creature.  She hopes by doing this she will make the creature think twice and decide to just go down the tunnel.

"I think we should help the creature if we can.  Not only is leaving an innocent, albeit scary, living creature to fend for itself against blaster bolts is wrong, but if it dies in the first salvo then we've wasted all this time for nothing!"

So Shunna will watch the creature.  If it decides to move down the hall, she will wait until it's back is turned and then quietly roll under the door to follow it.

[OoC2: Stealth +9; Result 19; Lets hope it's enough or Shunna gets a bonus because of all the noise the Klaxxon is making. ]

Shunna runs up to the terminal and quickly realizes that the terminal just controls the doors, there is no elevator beneath. There must be a ramp or something.  DreK!!   

Njon [the talz] runs for the south doors and  crawls underneath. Just as you figure out the code for the door. Luckily you think the doors  open fairly slow, perhaps giving you time to get underneath the south door before the creature could fit through.

Punching the code in you make a dash to safety and roll underneath just in time to see teh beast hit the top of the now exposed metal grate ramp that leads down into its prison.  The creature gives a mighty roar, waving its crude hammer in the air.

The zabrak, who had been watching under the door swears "Karking hells, that's a damn kintan strider!!"

The large creature sees Shunna roll under the door and roars, giving chase but she easily has too much of a head start. It slams it's hammer/club against the door  and attempts to swipe underneath but is deterred by your blaster fire.

It bashes at the  blast door twice more, then finds the other door, with it's lower half blasted open wider. It has to crawl to get under the East doors but once free it charges down the east passage.  Quietly your group gives chase.

As soon as it rounds the corner, it is met by a hail of blaster fire, taking a huge amount of damage, which seems to just enrage it.

Guards readied attack.

Then the kintan strider charges around the corner and into the massed guards.

A sickening crunch is heard around the corner followed by voices shouting in panic. "Concentrate fire on it.. we have to take it down!"

Round One


The guards turn was the barrage i already did on the kintan strider.

Njon does a double move, as far as he can, down the stairs then running down the corridor, blaster in hand. He will reach BH29 (note the kintan strider already moved past that spot before initiative.

Ubi Sunt, and Shunna are next.
Ooc - Thanks for rolling for me

Ubi takes a double move up to BJ 29/30 (hard to see) whichever one is at the inside corner of the corridor.  He takes a swift action to examine the combatants. [url=[1d20+8] = 6+8 = 14]Battle Analysis[/url] Oh Fudge, just missed the DC!

Battle Analysis:  As a swift action, you can make a DC 15 Knowledge (tactics) check. If the check succeeds, you know which allies and opponents in your line of sight are reduced to at least half of their maximum total hit points.
I'll give you a freebie.. the guard that is a pulp is below half. Likewise the kintan strider is a MESS. Now that a PC can see I will update the map.

Most of the guards are arrayed in front of the entrance, blasting away at the massuve kintan strider, to very good effect.  The technicians inside the reactor are just standing there, unsure how to react.  

On the far side of the room one of the guards is hurriedly escorting a torture droid to one of the doors to the room. There is a massive shield dome protecting the reactor in the center of the room.
It is 's turn

[Free Action]
  • Use The Force +15; Result 21; Success!  Rolled crappy but it didn't matter.
  • Force Power: Surge
  • Effect: You gain a +30 Force bonus on Jump checks and your speed increases by 6 squares until the start of your next turn. The Force bonus on Jump checks includes the adjustment for increased speed.
[Move Action]
  • Shunna Surges down the hallway and arrives beside Ubi.  [BJ/31]
[Standard Action] With a flick of her finger, Shunna attempts to snag a guard [BO/34] and hurl him into another guard [BR/33]

[OoC: Since I don't know if I succeed, feel free to make all necessary damage rolls, etc. I've provided links the the power's descriptions.]

Shunna easily picks up the first guard [guard 3.3] with her Force powers and hurls him bodily into the guard standing in front of the ramp. [Guard 3.2]

Shunna: Damage - Guard 3.2 [6d6] = 18, Damage - Guard 3.3 [6d6] = 21
Both guards are staggered by the impact, with Guard3.2 being knocked a step back through the energy shield around the reactor. [-1 on condition track to both as well as the damage]
Callie and the Zabrak  move under the door, then spend the rest of their movements [double move] getting to BJ29/BI29.

The kintan strider takes a step forward and wildly swings at Guard3.4 with its club. The guard easily steps aside.

An aqualish man races from the west side of the room, headed for the same exit as the interrogation droid and last guard, just reaching it without enough time to get the doors open.

The technicians on the reactor platform react by moving around behind the equipment, shouting something that cannot be understood through their protective suits.

Guard 3.1 opens fire at the kintan strider, finally cutting it down and ending its rampage.

Guard 3.2 tries to stand up,but instead collapses in a fit of coughing, puking up blood. He passes out and goes still.

Guard 3.3 rolls unsteadily to his feet and flees out of sight to the west.

Guard 3.4 opens up a barrage of fully automatic fire at Shunna and Ubi. When the blaster fire clears, they look at each other. Check for holes.. Look back at him. Shake their heads slowly. .. Not even a singed bit of clothing.
Rolls:

Guard 3.6 on the far side of the room starts waving
"Ubi!  Hold your fire, it's me.. Dez!  The droid knows a way out!  Don't shoot!"

"Wait a moment.. where do you think you're going."

She levels her blaster at the aqualish.

[Intimidate: Persuasion : Intimidate [1d20+9] = 11+9 = 20
Silver tongue feat lets her intimdate as a standard action]

It is now the droid's turn. have at 'er Zero.
