When Aly points northward, you all believe you can see the west side and top of a large building with lights on, peeking out from behind a smaller building that's sitting on the edge of the Village Square.
[You can see the large building on the left side of the previous map about half way down.]
Sumayl simply nods, having witnessed how she had reacted to Rhodric.
"The tavern is the best place to start, let us go check."
He gathers his horses reins and begins to lead his steed toward the village square.
Rhoderic nods to Sumayl and Aly, but pauses to examine the area for any trail signs of the missing girls departure, as he slowly moves towards his horse.
[OoC: It's been a week with rain and even with the sparse travel any tracks would be obliterated. ]
When you step outside you immediately notice a chilled, heavy fog has rolled into town. Wrapping your cloaks around your bodies, you travel a short distance to the town square and begin to hear a faint creaking noise as a single shaft of light thrusts illumination into the main square, its brightness looking like a solid pillar in the heavy fog. As you continue to follow Mary's directions, you find yourself traveling toward both the source of the light and the creaking. Soon you arrive in front of a tavern that's about 60 feet square. Above the gaping doorway, a gently creaking old sign hangs precariously askew, proclaiming this to be the Blood on the Vine tavern.
[OoC2: You traveled the orange line... ]
"Well, this seems welcoming," Aly says sarcastically. "Would it kill them to hang some flowers or something?"
"This weather would kill any flowers." Sumayl replies, deadpan.
Rhoderic quietly chuckles at Simayl's comment and continues to follow his compatriates while continuously scanning thier surroundings for any sign of possible threats.
While the two men seem to bond over the Cavalier's deadpan humor, Aly sighs and takes the lead by entering the Tavern first.
"Join me when you're finished."
When each of you walk inside, you see this once finely appointed tavern has grown shoddy over the years. A blazing fire in the hearth gives scant warmth to the few huddled souls within. They include the barkeep, three Vistani sitting together, a man in the corner sipping wine by himself and two other gentlemen, one human and the other halfling, drinking at another table.
Sumayl will take off his helmet and tuck it under his right (sword) arm so as to be less threatening (his other hand holds his shield, so is not ready to draw a weapon unless he drops either the helmet or shield first. He merely nods to everyon briefly as he moves aside from the doorway to allow Aly and Rhodric in behind him.
