RE: OoC thread - Ghinatorral Ourabestos - 08-16-2020 So we're SOL. RE: OoC thread - Betimi - 08-16-2020 Is Identify on Simon's spell list? It is level 2 for magic domain anyway Divination Level: Bard 1, Sorcerer 1, Wizard 1, Hoardstealer 1, Vigilante 1, Sha'ir 1, Death Master 1, Savant 1 (Arcane), Court Herald 1, Oracle 1, Magic 2, RE: OoC thread - GM Marvel - 08-16-2020 (08-16-2020, 03:25 PM)Ghinatorral Ourabestos Wrote: So we're SOL. You guys lose hope too quickly! @Bet: Why does it matter what level of spell is? As long as it's on a list the caster has access to, that's all that matters. I'm using the Pathfinder Alchemist for Simon so it does appear on his list but isn't there a difference between formula and 'spells?' I will have to check. RE: OoC thread - Selina Parcellus - 08-16-2020 ABANDON HOPE, YE MORTALS, AND DESPAIR!! RE: OoC thread - GM Marvel - 08-16-2020 (08-16-2020, 04:59 PM)Selina Parcellus Wrote: ABANDON HOPE, YE MORTALS, AND DESPAIR!! Believe it or not, I do try to nurture a feeling of trust with the players. I'm not a DM that just throws PC's to the wolves. If something seems particularly dangerous, I always make sure there's a way out of their predicament. Like a two headed crocodile that is not able to attack the same person with both heads or a wyvern flying overhead with lots of rocks around the players so they can hide. And apparently, even though it doesn't make much sense to me, Alchemists can use spell trigger items (wands) but not spell completion items (scrolls). So both Nang and Simon can use the wand IF it is a Wand of Identify. Artificer from d&d can RE: OoC thread - DM Vitkyng - 08-16-2020 Oh spell trigger vs spell completion RE: OoC thread - GM Marvel - 08-16-2020 (08-16-2020, 07:27 PM)DM Vitkyng Wrote: Pathfinder alchemists cannot trigger wands. Artificer from d&d can Quote:Although the alchemist doesn’t actually cast spells, he does have a formulae list that determines what extracts he can create. An alchemist can utilize spell-trigger items if the spell appears on his formulae list, but not spell-completion items (unless he uses Use Magic Device to do so). |
