Everyone except Ning/Nang has Conviction:  +2 Morale bonus on all save throws for 50 minutes.
Ning/Nang emanating Circle vs Chaos. Gain +5 to CL roles for Torque checks. (Everyone except Tomeal gets this bonus)
Goldilocks zone: Everyone gets +2 bonus on Torque checks.

[Elemental Stats: AC: 17+2 = 19; Attack: +7; Damage: 2d6+1 (Slam) ]

Movement: Speed reduced by half and you can't charge or run.  5' steps are still allowed.

With the swarm of crabs infesting the Paladin and being grappled by a Medium Louse all he can do is try to break out of the grapple and escape...

1st attempt: Tomeal Grapple: [1d20+11]=2+11=13, Medium Crab: [1d20+15]=1+15=16; Failed
2nd attempt: Tomeal Grapple: [1d20+6]=8+6=14, Medium Crab: [1d20+15]=2+15=17; Failed  Rolleyes

The Elemental moves 15' South-West and attacks the the medium louse attached to Tomeal...

Attack: [1d20+7]=2+7=9, Damage: [2d6+1]=9+1=10; Miss;  Can Tomeal catch a break??  Sad

While Crozar's Elemental is following his commands, The Cactacae steps back and hacks at the creature but misses.
[Crozar has a 5' reach.  And dropping an item is a free action that does not provoke an AoO.  So you could drop something within 5' of you before or after you move to blow it up later.  But it has to be something easily retrievable like ammunition.  Let me know if you'd like to do that and where you're dropping the item.]

Suddenly a flaming creature appears on the battlefield.  It's body is composed of writhing tentacles made of flame.  Eyes bubble up from within it's amorphous form then catch fire and burst, splattering flaming ichor that turn into more tendrils of suffocating black smoke!   The creature turns to the Med Lice attached to Tomeal and slams a burning fist into it...

Attack: [1d20+8]=10+8=18, Fire Damage: [1d6]=5; HIT!!!; 5 damage plus burn
Reflex save: [1d20+2]=12+2=14; Resists catching fire...  Dodgy

Kubo's Turn!

[[You moved the elemental at Crozar's direction, but you didn't reflect Crozar's movement on the map update or confirm that his attack was a miss.]]

[[I'm very sorry.  I lost my first post and then I was rushing to get the second post done cuz I had some place to go.  I wish I would have remembered because Elphaga was going to summon a different creature but one of it's abilities would have caught Crozar in the radius.  So I went with this templated Fire Elemental instead.   Anyways, I'm home so I'll fix it up.

Also, H-8 is not in the circle.  Only squares that have more than 50% filled by the circle are affected.  Since your intent was to be in the circle I will move you back to H-9.  If you really want to be at H-8 just let me know and I will move you back.]]

[[I edited my combat post and map.]]

[[No worries,  just trying to make sure everything was tracked. Thanks for the update.  Crozar would have dropped a chakri at I-8 in that case.  H-9 is fine for placement on its move.]]

Kubo's grapple check: Grapple check = [1d20+7]=8+7=15
Quote this message in a reply
Kubo was grappled by 2, so if he needs a 2nd grapple check
Grapple check = [1d20+7]=13+7=20

[[There is only 1 still attached to you.  The others have died and the swarm can't technically hold you in grapple but it can attach/drain constitution with a successful grapple check which is huge (+21).  You were very lucky it rolled a 1 and missed you.  Tomeal was not so lucky and want's to be set on fire to kill all the lice!  Sad ]

FYI, you can only initiate a number of grapple checks equal to your base number of attacks.  So you will likely gain a second attack when your reach 6th level.  A third attack when you reach 11th level and 4 attacks when you reach 16th level.  I will have to do some research into Two Weapon Fighting and if it can help you make multiple grapple checks at the normal penalty for using 2 weapons.]]

The medium Louse struggles with Kubo to stay attached...

Medium Lice Grapple check: [1d20+15]=16+15=31; Succeeded

And manages to easily outmaneuver the dwarf to continue to happily suck the blood out of his thigh. [You needed to roll at least a 16 to roll even a tie]

The Small Crab(#3) had bit Crozar last round and did not like the taste of the oily sap the Cactacae uses for blood.  The crab would have tried again if their weren't tastier options close by like Tomeal...  Confused

[Right now Tomeal feels kind of like Henry Winkler in the movie, Little Nicky but with Lice!]

The small crab scurries toward Tomeal (5' step) and leaps at the poor infested Paladin...

Small Lice Bite: [1d20+4]=1+4=5, Bite: [1d4+1]=4+1=5, Grapple: [1d20+8]=8+8=16; MISSED!!!  For the first freaking time!!!

While the Paladin is trying to frantically shake off all the lice and crabs, he catches a lucky break and manages to dodge at the last second making the small crab completely miss him!

Betimi immediately recognizes the strange elemental as originating from the Far Realm.

It's now Simon, Seline, Teglab and Betimi's turns!

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
