[IC] Gemeris Station [Everyone]
A few minutes later Worynn returns and sits down at the table.

"it is good you came to us before you left. We need your assistance in a small matter..  Senator Verbenti here as brought us word of a man being sought by the Empire, or rather his death desired by the Empire. Since they have not accused him of a crime, weonly placed a bounty with the Bounty Hunters guild, open to all hunters, not just one that acquires the contract, we can only assume that he knows something they do not want known. Such open bounties are rare indeed, most are assigned to just one hunter, or a competing few."

"We have offered Korstyn here a counter offer, to bring him safely to us, willingly if possible. But there have been.. complications. The Empire has just increased the bounty, making it not just desireable for the scrapings of the lower echelons of the guild, but to more dedicated, professional hunters. This means our timeline to find him and get him to safety has just, drastically shortened. We were hoping we might entice you to join Koreestyn in bringing him in? Not only is his life in immanent danger, but what he knows could affect more than just the Atrivis Sector, if the Empire wants him so badly."

"are you interested in helping?"

"We may, but this sounds like it may be quite hazardous to us, besides helping us get a message to the droid piloting my ship, what else in the offering for us?", queries Ubi.

"The Imperials have upped the bounty to 10,000 credits. Korstyn has already agreed to accept our counter-bounty without renegotiating the terms. For that she really has our appreciation. But that leaves us with very few credits left. Paying you for those supplies has left us with little funds. What we were hoping is you, as a collective , would accept our offer of a second Cloakshape snubfighter. This one does not have the droid or hyperdrive sled. That is a handy trade off though as it makes the snubfighter more maneuverable without the weight ofd the sled."

[Full Round Action]

Shunna concentrates to sense any force-users withing 100 kilometers.

Use the Force: [1d20+15]=20+15=35; WOW!;  Other force-users can resist by rolling 35+.

Quote:As a Full-Round Action, you can use this ability to actively sense other Force-users out to a range of 100 kilometers. If you succeed on a DC 15 Use the Force check, you know how many Force-users are within range, their approximate distance and direction from you, and whether you've met them before or not.

Another Force-use within range can try to conceal his or her presence from you be making an opposed Use the Force check. If they equal or exceed your Use the Force check, you don't sense his or her presence at all. You can also specify that you are attempting to sense only Force-users with a Dark Side Score of 1 or higher; success reveals only those Force-users with Dark Side Scores, and not any other Force-users.

[OoC: Since Korstyn has a UTF 8 and Jendu has a UTF 6, they can't resist Shunna's UTF 35.]

Shunna is once again surprised that there's another force-user here.  She decides to focus upon if there's any Dark Side users withing 100km.

UTF: [1d20+15]=10+15=25

There are none unless they are hidden, of course they can probably detect you if there were.

[[Shunna already knows that Korstyn is Force-sensitive and has no DS score.]]

[OoC: Yes, or they would have likely come to blows already!  Shunna just doesn't want to land on a planet and find it was a trap like that time Lando sold Han out on Bespin.  She's still a little wary of the impact her performance in the arena had on viewers within broadcast range.  I assume since Jedi are considered to be a myth by most people it will be more easily explaned as special effects.  But she can't rule out her displays of power won't arouse curiosity. ]

Shunna would have likely accepted the mission without payment.  Being offered a chance to mess with the Imperials and save someone's life seemed like a no-brainer.  Unfortunately she wasn't traveling alone any more so she had to think like she's just another trader/adventurer doing business.  If they refused to rescue this man then she may have to excuse herself from the party.

Shunna leans over and whispers to Ubi, "Sounds reasonable to me."

[[Hmmm...That doesn't really look like a fight Shunna wants to pick.]]

Jendu hoped this deal would go through quickly.  He had a dinner to get to and he didn't want to be late.

"How much is this Cloakshape snubfighter worth, if it were sold?"

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
