Ubi will fly defensively as his standard action, to increase the ship's defences, aneling the ship down and to the right approx 30 degrees in a an attempt to avoid the oncoming vulture droid, and begin an attempt to maneuver the ship behind as many of the droid ships as possible for his movement action

Ubi flies defensively, which gives the following adjustments.

As a Standard Action, you can concentrate more on protecting your Vehicle, than hurting your enemies. You and all Gunners on your Vehicle take a -5 penalty on your Attack Rolls, and your Vehicle gains a +2 dodge bonus to it's Reflex Defense until the start of your next turn. If you choose to make no Attacks, your Vehicle instead gains a +5 dodge bonus to it's Reflex Defense, and all Gunners take a -10 penalty on their Attack Rolls until the start of your next turn.


Before Njon and Dez go the remaining three vulture droids close with the shuttle, all ending either two or three squares away. They all launch missiles, since your shields completely deflected the first's laser blasts.

Vulture droid 2 - attack [1d20+7] = 18+7 = 25  Hit  Concussion missile damage [8d10] = 46 Your shields (25) absorb 25 damage, your armor plating DR 10 absorbs 10 = the Lambda takes 11 damage and shields drop by 5  (109/120 HP and 20/25 SR)

Vulture droid 3 - attack [1d20+7] = 17+7 = 24  HIT Concussion missile damage [8d10] = 50 - SR20 - DR10 = 20 points of damage and -5 SR  (89/120 HP and 15/25 SR)

Vulture droid 4 - attack [1d20+7] = 9+7 = 16  MISS

Two of the three concussion missiles hit with a tremendous blast, that most alarming reduces your shield strength by almost half.

Njon fires at the nearest Vulture droid. Njon - blaster cannon (point blank) [1d20+9] = 9+9 = 18  Due to the -5 from the defensive flying he misses.

Then Dez attacks, her blast completely obliterating the first droid.

[OoC: What skill do we need to figure out what these things can do.  It's either Galactic History (because vulture droids have been around for a long time and they were used by the Confederacy during the Clone Wars) or Technology (Function and Principle of technological devices) or both. ]

[OoC2: Can Shunna temporarily take over for Zero as System Ops?  Apparently you need to be a mechanic and use 3 swift actions to recharge shield.  Zero is a mechanic but he is busy with Astrogation.  I don't see any rule regarding taking over someone's post. ]

[OOC: Zero can't do anything unless the party wants him to do a rushed Astrogation roll.  It's DC 25.  Zero has a +12 Use computer with his SCOMP.  So that's about a 50% chance.  If he fails he can use a Force Point to boost the roll 1d6 points.]

He would need to stop the astrogation, but he could restart the astrogation as well and try the accelerated doing the calculations in one full round action as well.

Forgot to answer Shunna's OoC1. Yesd, eirther skill can be used becaus thes droids date from the cloner wars so their technology is not new, and can be argued as being a matter of Historical record as well as technical knowledge.
