Selina quirks a curious brow at that.  "Which item did he attempt to use?"

You all suddenly notice Ning's Ning's heavy pick get lifted into the air by some invisible force and begin swinging back and forth.

Selina blinks at that, half-tempted to draw the sword as she sloowwwwwly approaches, head still turned curiously to the side.

Ning pipes up. "Nang did not use any. I used illusion wand"

Selina thinks about that for a moment.   "Then we may safely assume either that that wand casts a spell that renders beings invisible, or..."  she turns to Simon for this part "...perhaps this is a product of the Torque."

"It's possible," Simon replies.  "But it appeared as if Ning lost control of the wand.  The mishap appears to be an invisibility spell [Spellcraft to identify effects] so it's more likely the mishap caused the wand to activate on a random target.  Since invisibility is a touch spell, the only other target available was Nang!"

[Selina also detects Invisibility with her lolcraft? check.]

Simon adds, "I don't detect any Torque effect here that would warp... the... spell..."

As Simon finishes, his voice trails off.  He quickly begins looking all around the cave, and whispers, "What in the hell is going on now..."

To his eyes all the gems that were detecting as magical begin to almost hum in unison.  They grow brighter and brighter until their magical auras can be seen as visible light.  The strands of scintillating light stretching from gem to gem creating a beautiful web of light that fills the cave.  Several of the strands of light end at the exact same point at the center of the pool.  The glass-like surface of the pond begins rippling and then bubble at the spot where the beams of light touch.  Suddenly a man erupts from under the surface of the pond.  While coughing and sputtering the man manages to splash his way to the ponds edge, gasping for breath.
