You follow your own tracks across the sand until you find the metal chambers you entered this area from.  Beyond these chambers are the strange humanoids you spoke to earlier.

What do you do?

Reawyn looks over his shoulder at the group.

"They let us pass unmolested last time. Think it will be the same this time around?"

Yes, just go ahead. They were friendly they also gave us cards.
Reawyn nods and leads the way into the cavern with the stealthy humanoids huts.
[OoC: Sorry for taking so long to reply.  I needed time to look over the PDF and your past posts for reasons I can't really disclose at the moment.  ]

You enter a short stone tunnel that curves to the south and ends with a door tilted to the South-West.  You move through these doors and enter a metal room with two strange machines that sit to the north and south against the walls here, their faces appear similar to coils of metal tubes with several nozzle-like protrusions pointing into the room itself.

[You briefly explored this area starting with >> this << post. ]

You enter the next room:

The northern wall of this otherwise empty metal room is a tangle of what look to have once been strange cages of some sort.  Tangled amid the metal ribs of these cages are ribs of a more organic nature—the ancient bones of some sort of alien creature.  Smaller mounds of rubble lie against the opposite wall.  On the opposite wall there is an open door that you originally passed through when you previously entered this room and a locked or stuck door beside it on the south wall.  This south door was never opened.

Eva had discovered some tools but it seems she wasn't told what kind of tools they were.  She found a set of grippers, a black e-pick, and two batteries.

[OoC2: Pausing here in case anyone wanted to do anything.  If not just post that you are continuing on. ]

I briefly investigate both machines since apparently it got glossed over after I examined the floor.   [Perception +6]

I do avoid touching the machines though, nozzles that spray into a small corridor doesn't strike Reawyn as very safe. [Decontamination spray is very bad if we are considered contaminants]

"We should search these junk piles more thoroughly. We were afraid to risk them before."

[OoC: What do you think that?  Do you tell others what you think the spray is?]

You remove the debris that blocks the southern door.  After examining the door, you decide that the door is likely stuck because the power to the room has been cut off.  If you want to see what's beyond the door you will either need to force the door open or turn the power back on.

You said we have no time to waste now. Let's go on.
"I am satisfied the door will stay closed until our return.  That was the extent of my concern.  It is actually better that it is stuck."

Reawyn leads the way back the way they had originally come, also satisfied there was nothing else of interest in the debris. [ which is where I meant to search]
[OoC: I added a map of this area so you have some clue of your whereabouts. ]

You all continue on from B3.  The next room [B2] is where you fought the drone.  Passing through to the next room [B1] leads you to the room where you entered this complex.  Beyond this point takes you into the Skulk's domain.

[Do you continue through to where the first body lays?  Do you do any precautions? ]

We pass by the tied up drone and continue.
You pass through the final pair of metal doors and enter the Skulk's lair.

The ceiling of this vast chamber rises nearly 30' overhead.  A five-foot-wide ledge runs along the western wall, sloping down to the cave floor 10' below.  Four ramshackle huts made of what appear to be strips of metal, hides, and some sort of fibrous plant matter sit in the cave, while to the south yawns a dark pit.

Assuming you continue...

You all approach the first passage you come across...

The temperature drops noticeably in this passageway, and a rime of white frost lines the walls and floors leading into the cavern beyond.  What seems to be a light layer of brown dust carpets the cave floor beyond.  You remember that this is the chamber where there was a frozen body but this is apparently a separate entrance.  The ledge you dragged him up and over is to the north which has a coating of brown mold between you and it.

Assuming you avoid the brown mold and find the other entrance to the cave...

You travel another 30' to the north where you find another passage.  This is the passage where the group was separated so you could speak to the skulls.  You know that continuing northward would lead you back to the Skulk's homes you decide to turn westward.

After a short travel you enter a familiar area.  Here is a collection of crates, boxes, rubble, and scavenged metal lies heaped in the northweast section of this damp cave.  Several strange chalk drawings of twisted, spiny plants, a strange three-legged creature, and emaciated four-armed humanoids mark the walls.

The body of the man can be seen about 20' to the south.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
