Ooc (is it possible to see through the iron gate in the corridor? I moved my character on roll 20 to show his position.)
Lugar inspects the iron gate to see if it's possible to pass through or break.

It seems whatever came down on this mansion completely flooded the garden with gravel and dirt. At least there seems to be a massive wall of rubble on the other side of the garden gate. By the look and feel of it, Lugar's dwarven instincts says the rubble is at least 5 feet thick and at least massive if not completely solid. A pick would do its job here but probably it's too loose for tunnelling; it would likely collapse or slide after each shovel of gravel removed.
There's a faint noise coming from beyond the ceiling. For the duergar, it sounds like a squad of armored dwarves crossing a stone bridge. For the ranger, it sounds like a few huge rhinos grazing atop a surface cave.

Lugar turns to the group and raises a finger to his lips. "Shhhh. Listen." Then casts his eyes to the ceiling. He looks at Silent Giant for confirmation of the sound then asks, "more undead?"

It seems few rhinos coming. We should hunt them, rhino's leather is a good stuff. - he whispers with a great smile on his face

"I doubt the 'Key" is hidden in a rhino's innards." Lugar retorts with his own wide eyed creepy grin. "But we should see what's going on up there."

Now that there was a moment of sudden silence the grey elf arcanist could also hear the noise. For her it sounded like the trampling of gorgons or maybe golems-- definitely not from the flesh variety.
All in all the team pretty much agrees that whatever marches abovehead must have heavy feet and probably at least eight (two quadrupes or four bipedals) in total. OOC - nice to see the forum being back. Kudos to our admins @Succubus and @Minty |
