[IC] Chapter 2-3: Safe Haven
Private to Toot
Toot thinks hunger was just a poor excuse of failed thievery attempt. And that the thievery attempt failed on purpose. Myshnue chose this way to test the team's temper.
The very old oak in conjunction with a powerful female in a fey setting rings a bell for the doodid. (Does it ring a bell for the player? I leave the thrill to you to realise)

Bullshit. We had many questions but got only bullshit answers or no answers yet.
Toot wonders if this woman is a Dryad.  If she is it's no wonder why she's miserable.  Just take a gander at the handsome Devils in this group.  She must think she's cursed!  So while Toot hides under Boo's blanket of fur [Using Boo for cover] he squeaks, "Would you happen to be a Diedad?"

SG is wondering what is Toot talking about. "Die dad?"
The tiny elf moves further away from the apparently arrogant half-orc, pointing two fingers to his eyes, then pointing at Giant with the same fingers.

Upon Toot's question, he looks at the bear, startled.

"I'm no dad to anyone."

Shanna blinks several times in confusion at the little creature's word.  Diedad?  What in the world...?

((more to come...))
Merri represses the urge to sigh.

"Me not have time to cast one yet," Toot replies.  He then looks around the field to see if he can find any edible berries.  If he spots some, he shimmies over to the berry bushes while whispering, "Scuse me... Carry on... Nothing to see here..." and casts the Goodberry spell on the bush.  He will then collect the berries that became enchanted and then quickly returns to the group.  If he manages to find the berries, he offers one to Portho to offer to the Grig, figuring the Bard would have a better chance at using the berries to best effect.

Portho takes the proffered berruy and nods to Toot.

"My fey friend thinks you may like this enchanted berry."
as he passes the berry to the elf-fey.

He blinks in complete confusion at Toot's mention of a die-Dad.. what in blazes is he talking about?

[Bardic Knowledge [1d20+12] = 12+12 = 24]

Then his eyes widen as understanding dawns on his small face.. he cannot help himself he blurts it out. [OoC low wisdom gets the better of him despite his knowledge]

"You meant dryad right?" he spins around to face Myshnue "He meant dryad, is your Matron a dryad?" his excirted voice almost squeaks ion the way only a gnomes can do.

While enveloped in Boo's fur Toot rolls his eyes and squeaks in Jermlaine, 'Can no one speak common anymore?'  He then repeats himself very slowly, "Yes! What he [Portho] say.  Are you a Die-dad... Drie-da... Dryad?  Are you a Dryad?"
The tiny elf exhales slowly, apparently considering how to answer Portho when Toot's improving Common chimes in. It is now Myshnue's turn to roll his eyes. Then he answers, slowly and articulately to ensure that nobody gets a hypertension in the brains.

"I. Am. An. Elven. Fairy. Not a dryad, okay? Dryads live in ancient oaken trees. Like this one." - he finishes by jabbing his thumb towards the tree behind him.

Turning back to Portho, he replies,
"I can't tell if Matron is a dryad, though. How am I supposed to know when I'm not supposed to see her, ever?"

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
