EDIT: Stuck at a crossroad. Done the math, and don't qualify for a Druid/Mage multiclass. (Not one that gets an exp bonus)
Mixed now. Do we want a Level 5 almost 6 magic user, or a level 7 Druid?
It looks like you might have rolled better the first time so if given the choice you might want to stick with them. I believe that DM MiB said that if you wanted to play something and you don't have the stats for it then he might allow a player to raise his highest rolls to meet the requirements for the class. If you do play a druid the Errata now says they also get bonus spells for high wisdom just like clerics do.
A 7th level Druid would be nice but I'm not sure how much you would get to use your druid abilities (other then spells) in Ravenloft. It is mostly a castle adventure. A 5th level Magic User would give you 3rd level spells (fireball and lightning bolt) so that's nice. Remember that Lightning Bolt reflects off solid objects in 1e so in the right circumstances it can do A LOT of damage.
DM MiB I'm not sure if you saw my post before my last post about being a Druid/Magic User.
GM Marvel Wrote:I have a question about multi-classed clerics and weapons. In the players handbook PC elves weren't allow to be clerics. But in the description for half-elves it says: "Half-elven characters who choose the cleric as one of their multi-classes aren't limited by that class' proscriptions upon weapons usable" Then in the Half-Orc description it says: "When playing a multi-classed character, the half-orc must abide by the restrictions of the least favorable class with regard only to armor."
So my question is, are Elves limited to the cleric's weapons when multi-classing. I've looked online for 1st edition and people seem to believe they aren't limited. Also still curious about your ruling on specialization and multi-class.
