A Rude Awakening
#61
"Keep it up!" Cade calls out almostly gleefully as the raptor darts and dives around the creatures.

Having a bit of breathing room, Cade takes in a deep breath, holds it for a moment before exhaling harshly while slashing downwards with his finger, aiming at these deadly beings.

In the fevor of battle however the blades of sharp air pass harmlessly to hit the other side of the building.

Aquila had better luck in attacking one of the creatures while it was distracted by Merika, sinking her teeth deep in its flank.

Actions:

Aquila:

Trying to press his attacks, Robsen grits his teeth at the pain inflicted to him by the creatures claws, and breaths out reclaiming his combat focus and aim, holds his ground and quickly fires another 3 shots at the creature. But the struggle to regain control of his bow with the creature jostled him so his shots missed.

Cutter feels the bite of the claw on his throat a flash of white hot pain and then blackness.............He wakes feeling two tiny hands rubbing a healing suave on his injured throat as chip does his best to keep his master alive. flat on his back feeling like someone is trying to rip his head off cutter feels a surge of positive energy flowing into him and his wounded throat closing up. Cutter hears the bards instructions, the elf looks up at the bard, then with a grin and a thumbs up Cutter becomes a growling blur of motion. Rolling up on one knee the lethal elf lunges forward stabbing the creature in the calf, in one fluid move the elf is rising to his feet as he spins completely around driving the thin sword blade into the creatures side. Lets finish these shits Khayman!

Eloric fires another phase bolt into the damn floor.  Good gods, was he fucking cursed?  What the hell was in that wine? He just raises his shield again after that and swears a stream of curses so scathing that some god somewhere might have even raised an eyebrow.

(Action 1 & 2 - Casts Phase Bolt again and Misses spectacularly. Maybe even shoots himself in the foot.)
(Action 3 - Casts Shield. +1 AC and gains Shield Block 5 Reaction.)

Phase Bolt Attack Check: 1d20+10 = 11

Benji used a song of healing to help Cutter which had a side effect of helping ease his mind. Then he taunted the creature Merika was facing.

Robsen sends a volley of arrows at the creature on the walkway, but he lost composure from the assault and they all slam into the wall behind the target snapping.

Khaymen was in the groove, swinging and trying to hit this faceless creature who was avoiding the Wanderer.

In a frenzy, the large Lizardman tears into the Stalker and flesh flies as his claws tear him to pieces.

Eloric once again tries to use a bolt of energy slightly out of phase with this time but it hits the walkway He then kept his mental shield up.

Cutter felt the healing energies and went into combat immediately stabbing the creature twice. Chip jumped back to his shoulder.

Cade sent a volley of wind knives at the two beyond the illusory hedge, but seeing through the illusion threw his aim off and he missed. Though Aquila had better luck after moving across from Cutter she bit into the creature and tore his stomach out. gulping it down in a voracious swallow

The Stalker facing Robsen went to try and grab him again. reaching out with abnormally long clawed hands. Once again the first claw pierced his shoulder with those talons it called claws. But the other two times it tried to hit him, were a hard miss.

The two on the other side of the illusion cautiously moved through the brambles then rushed at their opponents. 1 attacking Cutter 1 on Merika . Chip alerted Cutter and he numbly dodged the claw reaching for him. The other caught Merika unaware and opened his side and back to the bone, dropping the lizard in a pool of blood.

Benji waved his hand, dismissing the illusory wall of thorns. Now that the two dum-dums finally figured things out, there was no longer a need for it to clog up the battlefield, though it had done its job admirably. The kobold looked a bit concerned when his fellow scaly brethren bit the dirt, but it seemed Merika was alive and breathing for now, so he decided to go on the offensive. The faster the remaining aberrations dropped, the better. Benji flipped a silver coin into the air, which transformed into several sharp needle-like slivers that launched themselves downward at the aberration that Khayman was clashing with, burying themselves solidly into the thing's arm. The needles then dislodged themselves and flew back into Benji's outstretched claws.

Action 1: Dismiss Illusory Object
Action 2+3:Needle Darts: 1d20+11 29
Needle Darts Damage: 4d4+1 12 to Khayman's baddie

Robsen takes a deep breath and focuses his breathing and aim by calming his nerves, standing his ground like the trained combat Archers of his elven heritage, once again attempting to fire three arrows into his opponent. With his regained focus the first arrow whistles from the bow to thud solidly in the creatures throat with a sickening thud, and the second whistles after the first arrow striking the creature through the its opened maw to protrude out of the back of its head sending it flying backwards towards the catwalks stairs and causing the third arrow to pass narrowly over it's head.

Actions:
1. Precise Comp Longbow Shot Action: Precise Comp Longbow Attack =[1d20+11]=12+11=23 +1 (Bard Song) = 24 (Hit!), Precise Comp Longbow Damage =[2d8+1]=10+1=11 +1 (Bard Song ) = 12 Damage!

3. 3rd Comp Longbow Attack Action: 3rd Comp. Longbow Attack =[1d20+1]=16+1=17 +1 (Bard Song) = 18 (Miss!)

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
