[OoC: Since Silent image has an area of four 10-ft. cubes + one 10-ft. cube/level (Six 10'x10' cubes) can she make a large juicy rabbit peek out and from behind the tree in the hopes it will trick the mites, who aren't too bright, into thinking it was the rabbit that made the noise.  ]

The post where she stated distance says the illusion is 50' away from the tree.  That would give her room to create the rabbit.

As the rabbit appears in front of the hole, there is another hiss, and then more silence.

At first, Vidar thinks they may have both somehow disappeared into the earth...but then he hears something a warrior like himself would know quite well: the drip of sweat catching the running edge of a bladed weapon.

[[Vidar is not really in a position to see either (only the Image is, really) but he can still hear.]]

Vidar will freeze in his posistion, waiting for themites to reveal themselves once more, before he springs to the attack.

Valdi readies his cold-iron hammer and holds up his other hand where his brother and Nex, but not the mites, can see. All four fingers and thumb are up. Slowly he folds his thumb in, then H's little finger, then his ring finger.. 3.. 2.. 1..

As soon as he drops his index finger he stands full upright, whirls in front of the opening, launches the hammer at the nearest target then drops prone, expecting them to counter attack.

Hammer [1d20 +6] = 6+6 = 12 ; Damage [1d8+3] = 5+3 = 8 probably missed, but at least it looked impressive.
with luck they'll come charging out, right into Vidar, Happs, and Toushou

If they are stealthed then Perception = Perception [1d20+4] = 5+4 = 9
