Thanks.  No rush. Getting a call on if you are fine with exchanging Feats to buy off the LA so i can get my feat or feats picked, that would get me to a point I'm ready for introduction.  If you are good with it, I would offer to exchange my level 1 & 3 feat, and would use the free regional/backgroup feat to pick up Militia on DM Vitkyng's suggestion.  Otherwise I just need to pick those other two feats and grab a couple inventory items/weapons, and I will be good to go.

You don't get a feat for 3rd level because you're 1st level.  That LA+2 gives you no skills, feats or hit points.  So you only have 1 feat for 1st level.

I think you have to wait until you gain a certain level before you can buy off the levels.  I will have to research what options you have.

Basically LA just means that you, until you buy the LA off at higher levels using the rules in unearthed arcana, you are always 2 levels behind on the experience chart. You are a 1st level character and only get to 2nd level when you reach enough xp where a normal pc reaches 4th (5000 xp).

I used the la buyoff rules before in game, but find pbp is not a good place for them, hence my attribute point buyout house rule

But in a game where we rolled stats that doesn't work either

I get that.  the XP buy off process just seems overly complicated and thought the Feat exchange would be a fair idea.  even if I had to sack the 1st level one and the free regional instead of the one I would get at character creation.  If the preference is to go with the XP buy off process, I supposed I will figure that one out.

I did a search and like you, nothing came up.  So I guess that means I'll have to replace them.

Airblast is a pathfinder spell so we'll have to change it a little to fit with 3.5 rules  but that wouldn't be difficult.

Ok, I've got those added to the sheet, thank you.  I've also taken Militia as my 1st level feat, and Placid Elemental as my regional freebie (figuring that that fit given the class is specific to this region/world).  I just need to add a few things to the equipment list and he should be good to go.

Thanks, but it's a 2nd level spell.  I'll keep it in mind if there's any spells missing from 2nd level.
