Missing Caravan
"Certainly," Piper replies.  He trots over to Jonath and places his hand upon the Gnome.  "You know, usually our races would be at each others throats right now.  It's nice to meet another enlightened soul.  I do wish my brethren were as forward thinking.  I've always said, education is the key.  It's why I attended Bard College."  The Kobold hums a little tune and instantly Jonath feels new life fill his body.

[OoC: Jonath gets 10hp's back.]

"I, personally, do not understand the basis for such a feud...but I believe there is neither time nor desire on any of our parts to relive such issues."

She turns to the individual Tomeal indicated and asks him to help her feed him the brew.

Betimi nods at Selina's assessment of the situation.

"I cannot speak for the others, but I have no prejudice against kobolds. If the others agree, and think it will aid us in achieving our goals, I will stand with them."

"Tomreal, is there anyone else you recognize among these people? One you would trust to guard the rest whilst we attempt to deal with this Unreth."

The sleeping man in question is of average height, blonde hair, beard and mustache. His lean musculature hints at a very active life, and he'd easily be passed off as an average farm hand or common person who works with their hands and bodies, if not for his studded leather armor and the fact that his clothing seems to have been well-cared for.

While Tomeal assists Selina, he nods toward a woman laying on a cot and says, "Ohma, is an honorable lady and capable warrior. She wouldn't abandon anyone to save her own hide."

Soon the man is waking up...

[OoC: ok you're awake Gilley!]

"How are you my friend," Tomeal asks.

As the man slowly wakes up, his green eyes flutter open and take a minute to focus. He mutters quietly, "Well, that's a damn sight better than last time I woke up." He coughs, and blinks a couple times, squinting at Tomeal. "Is that you, Toe? I'd just about given up on rescue. Thought you were dead." His bleary eyes fall on Selina. "Cor! Where are my manners?" He tries to move, but doesn't yet have the muscle coordination back, and flops around instead. He quickly gives up to avoid looking like a moron. "I'd stand in the presence of the lady, but I seem to have lost that ability. For now."

Selina smiles and gives him a nods of understanding. "At ease, good sir. You are recognized and noted for your manners. It is certainly something SOME of us have been...missing as of late."

Selina has all the bearing and the dialect of a noblewoman, but she is not one of those as the well-used chain shirt, Morningstar, and shield can attest to. Her hair is auburn in color, as if it were burnished by the setting sun. Everything else about her seems otherwise normal for a human...apart from her eyes, which are yellow and slitted like a snake.

"My name is Selina. Selina Parcellus. Priestess of Selune. With me are Miss Betimi, and masters Jonath and Nacesh. We have only recently met Powwaw, or Piper as he appears to prefer."

Betimi nods briefly when Selina introduces her. Her skin, and long braided hair are pale white, she could be taken for an albino human woman, were it not for her large, totally black pupil-less eyes. There is a small bluish tattoo of some arcane symbol just below her left eye. The rest of her except her hands is hidden beneath a heavy, cowled cloak, though from the way the cloak sits it must hide some form of armour. Her hands are also pale white, with an ornate crystalline slave bracelet covering the back of her left hand from her two middle fingers and wrapping around her wrist. She would actually be stunningly beautiful, in an otherworldly way, were it not for the fact that her skin is covered in oozing, diseased sores and pock marks, almost as if she were dying of some plague.

Despite her ill appearance she moves gracefully, and easily as she takes the second dose of mushroom tea to the woman Tomreal had indicated. She carefully sits the unconscious woman up and pours a little of the tea into the womans mouth and massages her throat to make her swallow. As the woman begins to rouse, Betimi gently urges her to drink more.

The Kobold bows low when he's introduced and then says, "I believe Gilley and Ohma will be needing weapons and their equipment.  If you wish I can take this one [glances up at Mardak] to retrieve them or someone else may join me if you don't trust this one. [Glances up at Mardak]  We shouldn't encounter much resistance.  There are not many of us left," he says sadly. "They have been either murdered for not bringing the beast food quick enough or they have sacrificed their lives following that things orders.  There's mostly just women and children left.  Terrified that if they try to leave it will hunt them down and slaughter what's left of my tribe."

Ohma will slowly turn and sit on the side of the bed.  "Wha... what's going on?  Where am I?"  She suddenly spots Piper and leaps to her feet.  "VERMIN!  KILL IT!!!"

The Kobold quietly sighs, "Now you know why I carry Charm spells."  But he holds off casting the spell hoping one of the other humans could calm the woman.  In any case, since she's aware of him, she would likely feel threatened which may muddle any chances of his enchantment taking hold.

Selina sighs and stands between them, her arms out to her sides to block her. She hasn't drawn her weapon and shield...yet. "Hold please, madam. This young being has aided us in resurrecting you at great threat to its own life. Please, sit down and rest for a moment and we will discuss how to resolve our situation."

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
