Entry Cavern

Reawyn puts 2 and 2 together and uses one of the cards to easily open the door.

The next room is a little 5x10 with another door directly across.  There is nothing to indicate any life within the machines here.

Two strange machines sit to the north and south against the
walls here, their faces appear similar to coils of metal tubes with
several nozzle-like protrusions pointing into the room itself.

She looks around in the room.
Eva perception [1d20+6] = 2+6 = 8

"Can you also open the next door with those cards?" - she aks Reawyn
(Yes, yes he can.)
Reawyn moves up and steels his nerve, then slips the card into the slot and opens the next door. Praying that Brigh smiles on him.
The door opens to reveal a desert landscape, but one like anyone has ever seen before.

At first glance, this cold cavern presents a strange and
disconcerting vista—that of a desert valley under a starless,
night sky. A stretch of sand covers the ground, a vista broken
here and there by bits of strange, spiky shells or contorted, dead
fronds that look like branches.

The strange sights leaves everyone distracted until something even more alien attacks. Purple tentacles emerge from a white, coral-like rock formation, tracing whirled patterns in the surrounding sand.

(Give me a few to get the combat thread ready.)

"Well that was... abrupt. You all seemed to have a handle on things though." Chrome said thankfully, looking about as he remembered seeing more than one shell. "Should we prod them one by one, just to make sure no more are... like that?" He asked.
How large ist the cavern?

You are right, Chrome.

Eva is looking for the same white, coral-like formation near.

Eva perception [1d20+6] = 10+6 = 16

Can we see any tracks of humanoids (magic-man) in the sands?

Eva perception [1d20+6] = 2+6 = 8 tracks

OOC - Has somebody survival/track?
- You are fast!

Ursk has got survival +4 if somebody has got better value then he helps they if not then tries to find/follows tracks:

Survival [1d20+4] = 14+4 = 18

"That is a good idea." Taijun says, not wanting to be touched by those sickly looking tentacles.  He looks for any nearby stones to throw and keeps an eye out for more creatures.
This area appears to be a huge dome.  It's dark, so it's hard to see far, but there are dark cliffs along the walls.  A path leads North and turns right around an outcropping of rocks.  As the path turns, a large hill rises in the darkness a ways away.  A dim glow can be seen to the Southeast, but the trail doesn't appear to lead to it.

The sound of creaking and clacking grabs the group's attention from the South.  Something strange and skeletal is heading right for them.  (about 35 feet)

(Another short one.  Not bothering with a different thread.)

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
