[IC] A Stolen Land
Nexendia had thought she had asked them nicely.  But if this totem might give them an edge when dealing with the Kobold's leaders then she would ask again.  "Will you please come with us so we might help you recover your totem?"

The kobolds seem mollified by the official request...partially. They don't seem any more comfortable with the idea of entering the old tree, but seem to be equal parts frightened and bolstered by the massive presences of the Brothers. As you continue your approach to the Old Sycamore, there is a palpable sense of foreboding that steadily grows as the musky, sickly-sweet flavor of rot and fungus begins to fill your nostrils. It only increases the closer you get. The tree is absolutely massive, easily as tall as a warship is long, and far broader than any other tree any of you have ever encountered. It is as if something was done to affect its genuine life-giving ability and twisted it into something terrible. Boles and knots abound on its surface, somehow looking like gaping chasms that could fit all of you at once. There is even a hole at the base through what looks like a tangle of weeds, roots and filth.

Andre had dazed out fairly quickly in the conversation with the kobolds. She didn't particularly like them, and she didn't really see the need to ally with them. She found it a little odd that everyone seemed so paranoid about the fae, and yet wanted to be friends with kobolds...

If that's what they wanted to do, fine. She just wouldn't mention not having any cold iron on her.

Hearing her name brought her head out of plotting mode.

"Sure."

Swinging down off her horse, she combs the area for anomalies, secret entrances, traps, and other fun things.

Perception: 1d20+5 16 (+1 for trapfinding)

Andra vanishes in a poof of investigative logic. She is a ghost, an empty hole in nothingness, she causes temporary blindness just by being in front of you. As she makes her way around the massive tree (which takes a very long time) she finds nothing in the way of traps, but a veritable trove of evidence of a war between two very large parties of very small creatures. Bits and pieces of tiny armor here, a broken shard of a tiny weapon there, bloody remnants of a dead mite here, more so of a kobold there. If this were a war of attrition, it should have ended months ago, but the little creatures just keep fighting.

One thing she does not see is any sort of way in to the tree, save the one tangled in its gnarly roots.

Getting back to her starting point, she reappears. "It's fine. Maybe a couple inches of tiny dead bodies. Nothing gross or anything."
