[IC] Chapter 1-4: Cellars of Hate
#41
We should let down the water and dig a tunnel, aren't we? - He asks the spellcasters

What is the floor here? Rammed ground, earth?
#42
Hard to tell as the cellar-made-lake seems to have sedimentary bottom but feels to be quite firm beneath the sedimentary layer. According to Lugar this kind of rock the cave is made from may go very, very deep without any cavities or other weak spot.
#43
Have we cheched all iron doors upstaira and each door was closed and impossible to break or unlock? And this one too?
#44
"I'm tired of this muck anyway. You're right lets go back up and look around."

Lugar will head up the ladder and gather his pack to search the grounds again.

Just to clarify and speed things up:
The iron gates are garden gates like this:

except that it's not garden but heaps of stone on the other side. The gates themselves hold against the pressure of the heap only because most of the rock pieces are partially against the wall or simply too large to fit through these gates so the entire pressure distributes along the full surface of the wall around the inner space.

So the party will climb back to the ground floor and stroll around the full circle, peeking into each of the rooms, right?

Ahh. And what about this one underground? Is this one full with rocks too and under pressure? So we can break the iron gate (grids) and take away some rocks, aren't we? If we break this gate the rocks come out and crash down maybe one of the gates above will be free. Is this possible? Or have we better chance to suvive if we open a gate above (survival d20+5)

It's like bringing down the mountain with bare hands, or so it seems on the garden gates.
The cellar door is a massive, solid, reinforced iron door. Looks rather hard to break open, especially under water.

Yeah. Giant follows him.

Firstly he examines the iron gate on the west. (There are no rocks on roll20, it is different than other three gates?)

Secondly he examines the library again and again, there must be something behind the rocks.

Thirdly he goes up again and looks for some passage.

Where was we when the ghost attacked us first time? There must be something important. Second time the ghost attacked us in the library.

OOC - on the second floor there was nothing else interesting except the magician?

OOC - he needs some help because his search skill is "-2" Smile except tracks (+5)

The iron gate on the west is just like the rest-- they are all flooded with boulders, this one being no exception.

The library contains no new clues other than some brown, sticky stains in the commode where the elven liquor was found.

The second floor seems to be the attic-- containing little more than dust and debris and everything else is just useless junk. The rhino stampede (or dwarven battle squad) can still be heard abovehead.

Merri conducts the bulk of the search but the party comes up nothing new. However, they come up with an old acquaintance. As the party passes the northern hallway connecting the guard room with the library the apparition strikes once again, this time from the garden.
It appears right between Merri and Murkatos, the translucent weapon shedding blue sparks off Merri's Mage armor, luckily still active!

Roll for initiative!
(will update roll20 in a minute)

We should find the source of this noise above.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
