[IC] Chapter 1-3: Mansion of Hate
#21

SG is looking for some tracks in the "dust". (ooc - +2 if undead, maybe there are other type of undead, skeleton, zombie, mummy, etc.)

@Silent Giant can't make heads or tails of the tracks. There may have been some soft boots crossing, that's all he could tell.

SG checks (take20) the junks maybe there are some useable weapons too. (javelin, arrows, dagger, etc.)

"Well, what do you all think? Should we continue on or break open this door?" (Door A6)

"Go for it. It has been awhile since something jumped out at us."

Lugar gives an evil grin. "Alright. We best all be on this side of the hall, just in case I cause a cave in. C'mon Maul we don't want to lose the light of Pelor to a couple of falling rocks." Ooc ( once everyone is all lined up in the hall Lugar will attempt to give the jammed door a hard kick.)

Maul nods and stands back, to the safety of the lobby's doorway. While Giant inspects the remains of the armoury Lugar gives a half-hearted kick to the door at A'6 which opens about four inches; sufficient for @Lugar to peek in.

the SW corner of the room beyond the door seems to be covered in dust and broken furniture; seem to be bunk beds and broken chests. Lugar spots a few metallic objects as well.

EDIT: It seems to be safe to open the door but will need a few more nudges and will give a little more noise.
While Lugar is busy with the door, @Silent Giant finds nothing of interest outside. Whatever's not broken is eaten by rust.
OOC - map later.

Yeah, break it, of course.

OOC - I haven't checked Lugar's Str check on roll20 before I posted... so here's the updated version.

@Lugar kicks in the door with his leg as if it were an oaken trunk against warped wood. The massive door leaves one of its hinges and twists inwards, leaning against something behind it that prevents it from falling to the ground.

The room beyond the door seems to be covered in dust and broken furniture; probably remains of bunk beds and wooden chests. There are several weapons scattered on the floor as well as figures near them; some even grasping them. As far as you can tell, whatever disaster reached this building caught the guards in their room by surprise. Some of them were half-naked, some armoured and now they are crushed beneath rocks. Lots of rocks. Interestingly enough, the remains are little more than skeletons; they are mummified, their skin, though torn apart by wounds, keep the bones tight together.

Maul grabs his holy symbol tighter at first then relaxes. "If they have the power to lift those cliffs off their backs they won't be affected by my power either."
Indeed, as far as anyone in the team can tell ordinary low-level undead wouldn't lift those rocks some of which may be over a thousand pounds.

While @Silent Giant couldn't find any able piece of equipment outside these things seem to be in better condition. Well, at least those that are not splattered to junk by the falling rocks. At the first glance there are the bodies of at least half a dozen guards and a few weapons and shields seem to be in good condition. Whether they hit the mark to be called "masterworks" needs closer inspection.

OOC - map update possibly in a week only. The shape is already visible on roll20; it is about 22' wide by 35' long

More undead! - He shouts and starts to slash their heads until they are immobile just in case.

A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
