[OoC: @Mardak, I'm just giving you a heads up that in order for you to move into the room to attack the Kobold, you would have to move into Tomeal's square and then into [B6] (No cutting corners around doorsways) which would normally give the Kobold an attack of opportunity.  Unfortunately for the Kobold, he is currently armed with a small sling which would mean he would have to punch you which would then give YOU an AoO on him for striking you unarmed.  So he will decline his AoO.   Tongue ]

Betimi takes out her spear as part of her move and then waits at [F8].  Mardak then moves into the other room and takes a swing at one of the Kobold slingers but he nimbly dodges out of the way of the Hexblade's attack.  Selina moves to [D7] and takes a defensive stance with a rock in her hand...

[New round...]

Jonath cartwheels 5' to land him between Tomeal and the wall.  He then attempts a circle kick at the end of his cartwheel but the Kobold sidesteps the gnome's foot.  The creature snickers but abruptly stops and spits out a tooth when he gets kicked in the face by Jonath's second attack.  [2 damage to the Kobold]

The Kobolds then make their attacks.  The Kobold Sorcerer once again points a finger at Jonath and launches another bolt of force into the gnome.  [2 damage to Jonath]  Thankfully it only grazed him.  The two Kobolds in the room take 5' steps backward and fires bullets at Jonath.  Both bullets plink against the wall beside him.  Down the hallway, the two kobolds in the front fire stones at Betimi.  One hit while the other bounced off the ground in front of her. [Betimi 1 damage]  The other two move 10' closer then also fire their stones at Betimi.  Once again one stone plinks her for minimal damage [1 damage to Betimi] and the other misses.

Knowing he needs to take down that sorcerer before he plinks Jonath to death, Tomeal moves through Mardak, then directly south down to the skeleton and then cuts off the 2 slingers escape.  Only the Sorcerer takes his AoO but misses.  Tomeal then takes his club and smashes the Sorcerer up side the head.  The critter doesn't go down but the blow obviously knocked him nearly senseless.  The Sorcerer doesn't appear like he has too much fight in him left and it looks like he might be beating a hasty retreat soon.

Nacesh decides to take the first chance he gets to cast his only damaging spell to full effect.  He runs 25' down the hall toward the four kobolds.  He skids to a stop and then points in their direction and whispers, "Incendio!"  A blast of flame shoots forth from his hand engulfing all four of the critters.  They scream in pain but don't go down. [Dam 2, 1, 2, 1]

[OoC:  OMG finally done!!]

***Now it's Betimi, Mardak and Selina's turns.  Jonath starts the next round.***

((Selina would love to charge the new kobolds...but can't see them at all thanks to the darkness. So maybe I'll have her attack the darkness...nope, no good either. She can't cast magic missile.))

[OoC: Actually they are in the dimly lit area. So you can see them. You just get a 20% miss chance. Or you could charge the kobold at B4.

Betimi quickly moves up beside Nacesh [stopping at I7], and hurls her spear at the lead kobold on that side of the corridor [k7], missing widely. The spear then Ricochets into the kobold behind him[L7], but it just barely grazes it [1 damage].

[Thrown spear to hit [1d20+4] = 2+4 = 6, Damage [1d6-1] = 1-1 = 0]
[Spear ricochet to hit [1d20+4] = 15+4 = 19, Damage [1d6-1] = 1-1 = 0]

((Oh, well that's a horse of a different color. I was assuming that everything outside the yellow band was in darkness.))

Selina squints off into the East and grins as she sees the offending kobold on fire courtesy of Nacesh. Hissing grimly, she drops the stone and draws and brandishes her Morningstar. Uttering a quick prayer to Selune, she lets out an angry yell and charges the one directly across from her...and nearly bashes his skull into his torso with a vicious downward strike.

((Charge attack on kobold at K7. Selina takes -2 to her AC and gains +2 to her attack after the charge.))

Attack: [1d20+4] = 11+4 = 15, Damage: [1d8+1] = 3+1 = 4

"Hey Toenail!!  Coming to help ya!"  Mardak murderously steps forth with the  scariest face he can muster.

Attack Roll
Damage

5' step into the flank with Toenail at B-5, full attack (1 attack).  Dreadful Wrath, everything in a 20' radius that is less than his HD must make a Will save DC 13 or be shaken for 1 minute.  If their save is made, Dreadful Wrath cannot affect them for 24 hours.

[OoC:  A reminder to everyone... within the yellow lines is normal light.  Between the yellow and the burgundy line (located on lines 7 & 8 on the east side of the map) is dim light where you can see but the dimness gives you a 20% miss penalty.  For the people with Darkvision, you can see everything that's not blacked out.  Light in no way impedes Darkvision but you only see in black and white; no colors.

@Mardak, the Kobolds are at least the same level as you are so your Dreadful Wrath has no effect.  Sorry.   Sad  On the other hand, I decided that you can have Dreadful Wrath. Big Grin  For some reason I thought that the feat made things run away from you.  Instead they are only shaken on a failed save.  Which is a lot more reasonable.  I had an image in my head of you walking through the mission with hordes of Kobolds scattering before you which could become a problem when you gained levels. ]

[@Everyone, common guys!!  These misses and low damage rolls are killing me.  Confused  Tongue  Even I'm not resistant to the curse.  Tomeal rolled almost minimum both times he hit!   Dodgy  ]

[@Selina, I just realized you can't charge because you have to pass through Betimi's square. You can still run up and try to hit him if you want but you won't get the +2 to hit for the charge.   Sad   I just wanted to give you the option to change your action if you wanted to.]

From charging rules:
if any line from your starting space to the ending space passes through a square that blocks movement, slows movement, or contains a creature (even an ally), you can’t charge.

Moving on...

Betimi fires a spear at one of the Kobolds but it misses.  It then ricochet off the wall and grazes the critter behind him instead.  Mardak then makes his move.  While growling, he dashes toward his target and strikes creature.  Blood spurts from its wound but holds its ground.

***Selina's redo and then Jonath begins the round again.***

Jonath: 14 (Grey) [ Damage: 8/18]
Kobolds: 14 (Green) [Damage: 3, 2, [6] / 2, 1,2, 2]
Tomeal: 13 (Orange)
Nacesh: 12 (Red)
Betimi: 11(Purple) [Damage: 17/19
Mardak: 10 (Black)
Selina: 6 (Blue)
Monster-in-a-box: 2

((*grumbles at Betimi for blocking her and preventing a good hit because she could have just moved up behind Nacesh to throw that spear*  So, fine!  Do I at least keep the rolls?))

Selina moves up to the kobold and swings her Morningstar at it.

A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
