Missing Caravan

((Hi Selina Smile ))

Jonath nods to Betimi and begins creeping forward. He completely disappears into the brush, moving in a silent crouch. Unfortunately, with the route he took to try and circle around behind it and because of taking such great care not to be seen, his view of the bush in question is completely obscured, so he has no choice but to continue moving ever-closer to try and discover what may be lurking inside.

[OOC: Moving to try and get closer - movement speed 15 while sneaking, so it will be a couple rounds before I get there - let me know if you want more sneak/spot rolls before I arrive.
Hide:[1d20+13] = 10+13 = 23, Move Silently:[1d20+12] = 16+12 = 28, Spot:[1d20+4] = 1+4 = 5

And thanks for your patience everyone, just got home from my trip late last night, so I should be able to be active again.]

[OoC: Oh sorry.  I thought you were talking about, that you purchased an enchantment to shrink your mount but you were just talking about you buying a mount. ]

[OoC: Welcome back Jonath! ]

Jonath moves closer to place where Betimi points out she saw something lurking.  Even though his stealth was on point, unfortunately one of the branches from a bush he was sneaking through suddenly snapped him in the eye.  Jonath takes a moment to for the sting to pass and his vision to clear before continuing sneaking forward for a better vantage point.  He sneaks another 10' but still doesn't notice anything.  Now being 30' away, Jonath sneaks a little closer and freezes.  Suddenly the gnome sees a kobold step into view.  The critter seems to be quietly talking to someone, likely another guard.  Jonath believes the Kobolds are at a mouth of a cave, trying to stay out of the sunlight.  They don't seem to be aware of the group... yet.

Failing to keep an eye on Jonath as he stealthily sneaks forward, Betimi turns her attention (and crossbow aim) at the bushes where she saw movement before, straining to see or hear anything that might be there.

Nacesh tries to see if Jonath found something (pls roll for me i'm on tapatalk now). If he can see the gnome freezing he raises his crossbow preparing to shoot at first sight of any nasties.

From his crouch he scratches himself, then spits into a can, *TING*, then yawns, and rubs his face.  Patience was never a virtue the cowboy hexblade held onto, much less care about.  He squints trying to see what's going on but all he sees is a nicely set ass--uh bush in front of the girls.  "Come on , come on ladies"  He mutters under his breath.

He starts picking at grass absentmindedly while squinting towards the bush.

[OoC:   @MardakI'm not sure where you got this can from but are you stating that you are trying to make unnecessary noise like cowboys did in those old silly Westerns?]

Since Jonath stealth hasn't made him disappear out of the parties view, everyone can see that he freezes in place.  And Betimi nearly blows her ear drums [you rolled a 1  Tongue ] while straining to hear anything.

Jonath then slips back to the rest of you and explains that he saw a couple of kobold guards at the mouth of a cave.  Jonath will also suggest that they will need to take them out fast so they don't set off any alarms or run for reinforcements.

Tomeal will whisper, "Do any of you spellcasters have some magic that will help out?  I've seen sleep spells that would likely take these creatures out before they can raise the alarm."

[OOC: Uh yeah there was a can there right?  Big Grin]

Betimi whispers back...

"Mardak, hush you fool, or I will shoot you myself!"

"I can pick one off pretty well, maybe hit a second with the same shot, but no I cannot cast spells. Nacesh? Selina?"

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
