Missing Caravan
Betimi's eyes widen in shock, then her face smooths to it's normal impassive expression.

"Thank you. I was merely trying to conserve your resources."

She lowers her voice to a whisper that she hopes only Selina can hear.

"I am more worried about Motýla, she was badly burnt by whatever it was beyond that metal door that tried to eat my arm and her."

Selina is really uncertain about who this Motyla is, but she nods in understanding as she touches the kobold again with the wand.

"I see.  Is she still through that door?"

((10 hp healing back to the kobold. Doubt he has much more than that.))

Betim whispers back, slightly raising her left hand with the ornate crystalline slave bracelet covering the back of her hand.

"She is right here, luckily she survived the attack."

Selina glances at her wrist and gives an "ah" face, touches it with the wand, then returns to the task at hand: They had to cross the river.  Tomeal asked a good, logical question.

"I presume we must find another way around.  This one will not die on his own with all the healing given him, so it's time we found a back door.  Master Jonath, Miss Betimi, if you would?"

Betimi looks across the river, not seeing any path on the far side except directly across from the bridges. She looks back, not seeing one  behind them, so she gestures to Jonath her intent to move further north along the riverbank.

She begins a slow move forward, constantly scanning the far side. She avoids the anchor ropes for the bridges and stops when she reaches the end of the more northern bridge [S13] to await the rest of the group and search the far side with her vision.

[OoC:  Sorry for my lack of posts.  Between work, updating my first aid, company staying with me, and a sick cat, I've been very busy.  With the exception of my cat getting some dental work done on Thursday Morning, I don't see anything cluttering my schedule for the next little while.  I was also hoping for more than just 2 people to post.  Undecided  ]

The Kobold whispers, "Ffind path to ssouth in room withh wooden boxess.  Look acrosss river.  You will ssee path on other sside.  No bridge there.  Sso very ffew guarding pathhh."

((I know, right? No idea where Jonath, Nacesh and Gilley went))

(Post to be finished soon...)

((Didn't have anything to add to the conversation. Gilley's not the 'talking and figuring stuff out' type, he's the 'action and getting into trouble' type. But he knows enough to let the talkers talk and figure things out, when they are around.))

Finally hearing something that he can do something about, Gilley looks at Tomeal. "Wooden boxes. Where were those?"

Hearing the Kobolds description of where the path is Betimi reverses direction and instead creeps southward along the shoreline, scanning for the promised pathway.

((OOC - not sure if our busy GM caught my notice I sent as a GM in another game but I hinted that running five days with sporadic net access. This turned out to be twelve but now I have a few spare minutes AND a net capable device at the same time Smile ))

Nacesh ponders Tomeal's possibilities.
"If you cross the bridge and it breaks you sink. If you try to swim across you sink. Maybe if you were half the size and quarter the weight?"

((OOC - I think Nacesh still has his Reduce Person scroll unused and he offered it earlier to Jonath so others know about it as well))

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
