The kobolds peek out from around the legs of the horses, which seem to exercise considerable amounts of restraint in not stepping all over them.

"Is over?"

"Yes," Nex replies with a smile.  "We are just preparing the meat for you to take home to your people and then we will be leaving again."

With a wave of her hand she casts Prestidigitation to quickly clean the dirt and blood from the meat.

"Can you tell us how much longer until we arrive at your settlement?

[OoC: How much longer until we camp? Will we reach the settlement before we need to camp? ]

[Valdi]

Valdi sets to butchering the hogs, not questioning that Nexendia will pass on anything pertinent that she gleans from the barking yipping kobolds.

It is the work of not a small period of time (a few hours) but before long, the pork, ham, and all other things pig has been butchered from the razorbacks and little is left but bones for vultures to pick clean. It is still a few hundred pounds that you carry, weighing down the horses slightly.

[[You can make camp whenever you feel like, really. Your choice, but you've got a fairly large amount of meat that your horses are lugging around for you until you get to the Kobold's den and it will take some time. I'm going to assume that you intend to get there via the most direct path making as few stops as is necessary, yes?]]

[Valdi]

Valdi shoulders as much of the burden as he can, loading the rest on his horse and walking beside it, crossbow readied.

[Tushou]

Tushou helps Valdi and waits to leave or rest. He carries as much as he can.

The kobolds watch you work quickly, wondering how often you have fought and slaughtered razorbacks (and exactly how much pork you eat) while responding:

“Home is down river about three days travel.”

[OoC: Remind me how much time we have before we have to be back at the Trading Post to protect it? ]

"How did the four of you make it this far away from your camp?"

[[Welllll...you left Kesten and his men there to defend it, but you wont be able to return in time, so you will have to rely on them to know how to defend a position. Jhod is also there I believe.]]

WHAT?!? - he is very angry - Are you joking? You said earlier it is about two days travel and we have moved a half day yet!

"That faster route, go past Old Sycamore. Bad Mites there. Road down river safer...kinda."

The kobolds clearly don't want to go past this Old Sycamore...but don't seem to happy with the idea of taking too long to go home.
