[OoC Betimi was deliberately grabbing a bow to leave the crossbows for the ppl that are limited to simple weapons. If Tomreal prefers a bow she would delightedly trade him for her crossbow, which still leaves all the crossbows in the cache. If there are at least two light crossbows in the cache left after Tomreal and Gilley gear up, and they grab Ohma's gear, then Betimi will recommend not only Selina grabbig one but taking thenother to give Nacesh (assuming he doesn't have one already)]

Edit: After checking I see that Nacesh does already have a crossbow, so that means we only need one keft for Selina to be able to take one.

OOC - and Nacesh stays with the girl and slumbers so he's not there to refill his crossbow bolts nor to remind the team that he's probably the only person with Magic Missile on his class spell list. Smile The mage hand, though, may come... ahem... "handy"... for virtually anyone, rogue included.

[OoC: Wow, I didn't know Piper's weapon stash was going to be so popular this season.  Tongue   Oh and of course there are some extra miscellaneous equipment such as rations, pouches, backpack, clothing, bedrolls, etc that a typical adventurer, traveler or guard may have.  Gilley, Tomeal and Ohma, can restock themselves with their starting equipment.  Also, everyone can take up to 5gp's of equipment (a maximum of 5 of each type) as well to restock themselves.  

So to be more specific about weapons and armor:
  • 15 Longswords
  • 13 Shortswords
  • 17 Daggers (2 Tomeal's)
  • 6 Longbows (1 Tomeal's)
  • 6 Crossbows (1 Ohma)
  • 3 Light Maces (1 Ohma's)
  • 3 Heavy Maces (1 Ohma)
  • 2 Morningstars
  • 3 Shortspears
  • 3 Slings (1 Ohma)
  • 3 Light shields
  • 2 Heavy shields (1 Ohma)
  • 2 Hand axe
  • 2 Battle axe
  • 1 Great Sword (Tomeal's *Masterwork)

I forgot to mention armor:
  • 3 Leather
  • 3 Studded Leather
  • 2 Chainshirts (1 Ohma's)
  • 3 Chainmail 
  • 3 Breast Plate (1 Tomeal's)
When speaking of the Magic Items, Piper will mention again that the magical small staff is +1 and there is a cure light wounds wand and a wand of magic missile.  To Betimi he adds, "The Hand of the mage is a mummified elf hand which allows you to slowly move (15' per round) one object at a range of 30' of no more than 5 pounds at will.  It may not be the prettiest necklace but what it may lack in beauty or power, I think it makes up in utility.  Not to mention it looks pretty cool and super mystical to be levitating objects around you.  A simple meal can be turned into an awe inspiring show for common folk."

Piper is startled a little when the large woman suddenly embraces him.  He had never had a human hug him before.  But he soon warms to her touch and if he could blush there would be a little pinkness in his green scaled cheeks.  "It's no problem m'lady.  You all are doing me a great service in ridding my home of this devil!  I freely and willingly offer whatever I have and only ask that you take only what you require to restock yourselves.  My people will have to rebuild so we will have to sell or trade whatever is left to get back on our feet."

Tomeal will restock himself (with what he would have started with) as well as taking a extra 4 days rations and 3 empty waterskins.  He will ask about water and Piper replies that there is a natural spring close by but it's unfortunately close to the creature's den.

Selina gives him a broader smile for his humility.  She would not have taken more than she needed in any case, but his request simply seals it in mind for her.  "It is not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you.  You are a credit to your kind."  She turns to Tomeal and holds out her spare waterskin.  "Good sir, if you are thirsty, I can lend you one of mine until we reach that spring."

[OoC  I think GM Marvel meant 5gp in general equipment like rope, backpacks, rations, et cetera.  Armour and weapons are outside that, but as Piper requested, don't be too greedy.  So a 35gp light crossbow probably isn't too bad.]

Betimi looks at the extra chain shirt but dismisses it as the slight weight increase over her armor would actually be enough to encumber her.

"We should give that wand to Mr. Nacesh, he can't have much magic left with which to face the spider. The curative wand  we will definitely benefit from you having Selina.  Sir Jonath should use that quarterstaff, it is almost like it was made for him.  As for the mummified hand, I think being able to manipulate small objects at a distance would benefit us most in the possession of our de facto scout, Sir Jonath"

[OoC: Yes, the 5gp limit was only for miscellaneous equipment. Weapons and Armor are different. For those, take whatever is reasonable for your character. A missile weapon, a main weapon, a light weapon and an upgrade of armor and shield is fine. Snatching up all the left over bows and crossbows and 5 longswords is taking advantage of Piper's generosity. Also Nacesh may pick from all the items as if he is with the group. I don't want him to miss out because he decided to stay back with Ohma. So if he's the only one who can use the wand of magic missiles, he's free to have it as far as Piper is concerned.]

Gilley tries to hide a good-natured smirk at the kobold's initial discomfort with hugging. He could understand that feeling. Considering Piper's mention of needing to rebuild the colony, he just takes a few extra days worth of rations, just in case he had bad hunting.

[OoC: Tomeal offers to help carry anyone's gear.  He has high strength and his speed is already lowered to 20' due to the breast plate so he can carry up to 233 pounds without his encumbrance being seriously effected.  Anything from 234 to 350 will make him lose 1 point off his armor class due to Max dex limits of Heavy loads but he's willing to accept the loss if the group needs him to carry extra.  He would rather accept the burden than have any of you hindered in combat.


Betimi, do you have that list of what Tomeal is carring for you?  I can't seem to find mine.  Huh  ]
