OOC - yes it's Delay Poison. Will fix. And more like "capricious" than "captious" Smile

There are no illusory walls or other magical devices to detect but the stone necklace registers as magical.

The key opens all gargoyle-keyhole-doors but only one at a time. Torin can't figure a way to keep one open while keeping the key.

OOC - let's wait for Portho's feedback.

RE: The Dwarven Ruins - Torin - 06-20-2016

And how strong is the necklace's aura? Could he determine the school of magic? (ooc - spellcraft:20)
OOC - It's hard to translate our "háklis" word to english, because it has got more than one different meaning Big Grin.

RE: The Dwarven Ruins - Torin - 06-20-2016

In this faster gameplay I almost forget to say: Torin takes the similiar ceremony with this dwarven skeleton (put away a fingerbone/hair,... and pray for his/her soul.)

RE: The Dwarven Ruins - Portho Nihilbuck - 06-20-2016

"Let me see that necklace. Perhaps I might have some lore."

[OoC Bardic knowledge... rolling d20+9 Bardic Knowledge (7)+9= 16]

Yes, I would rather accompany you than be stuck alone down here. as for the silence you overlook it's usefulness. Most creatures will hear you clanking about a lonng time before they can even see our light, nevermind before you round whatever corner lies between you and them. By the time we realize they are there they will have heard us, and it is far too late to silence us at that point. Besides if we are silenced I can make us invisible later for a short length of time.

RE: The Dwarven Ruins - DM Surranó - 06-21-2016

Fingerbone noted.

Portho finds a curious symbol of three crowns; as far as Portho can tell from the miniature the crowns are of human, elven, and dwarven design. This rings a bell in the bard but not enough to remember where he heard of this.
OOC - should have rolled 20 for more info and 25 for exact information... sorry

Yes. It will be usefull, but just cast it before we go through the portal.

There is another chamber to south I searched it, but maybe I missed something. I can try to speak with the dead dwarvens bodies,  but in this case we must rest one or two days more there. - said he before he casts the Dimenson Door spell.

OOC : Is the dwarven warrior's body mostly intact to be able to respond to the Speak with Death spell? And what about with the two cleric's  bodies?

RE: The Dwarven Ruins - DM Surranó - 06-21-2016

All dwarven remains are skeletons, essentially intact. It seems that all three of them sat down to die in piece and not defeated in combat.
Note that while there's no strict forbiddance to use this spell in the dogma of any dwarven deity it is generally considered to be an act of disrespect to disturb the rest of the dead (even temporarily like in the case of this spell) and most clerics use it only as a last resort in times of dire need. The Lady Lorekeeper is not a dwarven deity but a good one. I leave it to you to decide about her teachings on this topic.

RE: The Dwarven Ruins - Torin - 06-21-2016

In this case Torin will respect this dwarven dogma and wouldn't casts Speak with Death spell.
OOC - I think his Lady accepts much easier to casts such kind of necrotic spell if he could receive the information in this way. But in this situation it is not necessary to does this.

RE: The Dwarven Ruins - DM Surranó - 06-21-2016

OOC - I left the decision to you keeping in mind that while she's good she's also a deity of knowledge...

RE: The Dwarven Ruins - Torin - 06-22-2016

OOC - I'm waiting for Portho/DM.
