Jonath's suspicion was confirmed. He arrives at the corner of the main hallway.

Betimi, trailed behind Jonath by about 20' after signalling the group to wait at the intersection. When she sees him retreat southward again after confirming his suspicion she draws back to the group.

"Jonath is right, this place should be crawling with the vermin. I worry that they have withdrawn to defensible sfehold, and left traps behind to ensnare us"

"Or the lil' buggers are afraid a' me!!"  Mardak walks forward.  "They already know we're here.  So lets spring their damn traps."

So many tunnels, Nacesh thinks as Mardak follows Betimi. The sorcerer maintains stations and watches over the westmost tunnel leading South as much as visibility permits. If he gets out of all light source's reach he'll lag behind the others to watch their backs as much as possible, crossbow at the ready.

OOC - I had the impression that the party searched all three northern rooms and Nacesh contributed as much as he could from his detect magic in this matter. But he definitely didn't explore any place alone.

Having come back into the main corridor as expected, Jonath backtracks a bit, knowing there are two halls leading off this one between himself and the exit. As before, he wanted to ensure they were aware of what lay en route to the exit before heading deeper into the cavern. He makes his way back alongside the tracks then peeks around the corner to south when he arrives there.

[OoC: Sorry for the delay in posting, been a busy few days. Moving back to the west along the main hall with the tracks then heading into the unexplored south hall.]

Seeing that Jonath did not turn around and come back down towards the party as expecred, she hurries to catch sight of him in the  east-west passage, then waves to the party in a beckoning gesture, hoping they will understand that Jonath is continuing onward. Then she hurries to catch up to her original  intended pace about 15' behind Jonath.

She whispers ahead just enough for Jonath to hear, "Remember to look back to make sure we are still following you once in awhile. We were waiting for you to come back south and had I not seen you go west, we'd still be waiting there. To go it alone gere will be your demise if they catch you."

"Ah'm comin' Ah'm comin'!! Ya got a flea in yer skirt, woman?"  Mardak trudges forth muttrering curses (not hexblade curses) but curses nonetheless.

Confused by Mardak's question Betimi mumbkes to herself. "Skirt? I'm not even wearing a skirt, and why does he think something as inconsequential asca flea.. these above-worlders are so soft. I'll never understand them."

Mardak's furrowed eyes calm slightly as he sees Betimi muttering about something.  "You're my ears and eyes darlin' , I can't see shit!"

Jonath peers down the south corridor but it extends beyond the range of his darkvision.  From what he can see the passage is straight with no change in elevation.

[OoC:  Sorry I'm at work so I will have to update the map (hopefully) in the morning.]

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
