Missing Caravan
Betimi moves to pick up her spear [Moving to what is now labelled L3]

[Move action, then move action to pick up the spear] She makes sure to take a good look at the passage to the south at I+J4 as she passes them, watching for any Pproaching foes.

As she does so she glances at Tomreal. "Please remember to pick up the crossbow you dropped, we are going to need it."

Selina has thoughts about pursuit...but she knows that she has at least one ally who is badly injured and in need of her assistance.

"Let them go.  We are now forced to regroup."  She walks over and picks up her little sling, strapping it and her morningstar to her belt as she searches for Jonath.  When she finds him, she notices that he doesn't look bad from the outside...but a look from him is all it would take to quell those thoughts.  She purses her lips together looking to assess the damage.

"Come master Jonath.  Please sit and rest for a moment.  It will aid your recovery."  She glances at Mardak and Tomeal.  "Don't even think of rushing off to chase anymore lizardfolk."

"If we're not going to chase them down to silence them," Tomeal says while quickly retrieving the crossbow.  "Soon these tunnels will be filled with kobolds looking for the intruders.  Meaning, US!"  He waves over at anyone not doing anything to come help him quickly start stripping the Kobolds of anything useful.  "So that means we either need to leave and hope we can avoid being tracked or falling into any traps OR we find someplace where they wouldn't look for us on the inside.  I know that's not likely but I am a warrior not a spellcaster.  I don't know what resources you might have at your disposal."

The Hexblade stowes his sword then cracks his shoulders as the Kobolds ran away, being more than a little miffed, in fact, he was Mardak'd"I'm one fer tearing them a new hole!! Somewhere between their asses and their lungs!!  I'd be damned If I were to be fuckered into a position of being ass-raped especially by them baby flea-dicked pieces of Roth turd!!  Rancid puke-faced dung swallowers.  I'd half a mind to rip their two-peas they call a brain, out of their numb skulls and feed them to their fuckin' children!!  In fact that's what I'm gonna do!!"  The verbal diarrhea continues as he moves to the torch he left behind.  "Hah!!  This torch will work perfectly!!  A shish-Kobold, complete with heat!!"

((moves to f-1, where he left his torch, and picks up his torch so he can see where he's going.))

Selina sighs and shakes her head.  Boys.

"Lest you forget these...kobolds...are proficient trapsmiths.  Or so you told me.  Perhaps they want us to follow them through their little funhouse of deathtraps."

She sighs one more.

"When I finish healing us, I shall be close to the end of my power."

"That's fine. I'm not advocating to chase after them. This is your mission and I'm here to repay your group rescuing me. So I will follow whatever you all wish to do. I'm just saying, they will come back --soon-- and we are almost out of resources. We need to come up with a plan. Either we find some place to hide inside or run and find some place to hide outside. If anyone has any other suggestions then speak! And can someone help me search these damn Kobolds!"

"It would be nice if you continued to work with us, Tomeal.  You are a good and true man to have around."

Selina was not lying about that.  She rarely, if ever, lied in general.  And now was the time to focus on planning.

"Is the room we were in safe enough to camp out in?  If not, we will have to return to the cave mouth at the very least."

Selina was not good at searching, and would not be of very much help...but still she tries to help.

I'm Helping!!: [1d20] = 15

[[Oh wow...she really did help.]]

Food for thought: From what you've explored so far, it all seems rather wide open. Kobolds could enter the area from numerous directions and that's not counting possible secret doors they could attack from. If thinking about going outside, remember that this mine is in rocky hills so there are likely hiding spots but the kobolds know this area far better than you. Jonath could probably locate somewhere for you to hide but many of you are not much good at stealth or in some cases, even controlling impulses to chase after dragons. [emoji14] As far as hiding on the inside, it's much more difficult because you haven't explored much. There are a couple of open rooms beside Jonath and Tomeal you haven't checked out yet that the light has revealed. There's also that sealed up door that Betimi put her hand in that you guys also haven't checked out.

Once retrieving the torch, he heads off after some Kobolds to murder them all.  Though he stop as some of the contract signers are looking at him.

"What?!?  We're gearing up and killin' those shit-heads!!  Let's go!!"

"Yes, I suppose I could do with a bit of a rest..." he says to Selena, "but let me do it over here." He crosses the room to the body he'd seen through the gate before even coming in here. The kobolds could be searched later, he was more curious about this other corpse. He did sit down near it, though - he was hurting all over, and knew he was not in good shape. Mostly from those blasted magical bolts, but no few pokes and dings from spear and slingstones as well. He'd felt worse in his life, but not by much. As Selena prayed over him and tended to him, he leaned over to examine the body, trying to learn what he could of it.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
