I assumed Gilley was joking with Selina.  If he was, it's kind of amusing that you players are playfully teasing one another while Mardak is inches from death.  Zero F*cks given.

I don't thinjk we are even close to a TPK. More the fact that we are having trouble reaching the enemy in time to save Mardak due to the webs. Smart opponent. There are enoughed ranged weapon specialists in the group to make this work once we get line of sight. At the moment Betimi is more effective at range than in melee. +6 to hit and 2d6 damage

Hence Selina's fury.  Her ranged ability is not enough to help Mardak, even though she doesn't really want to help him it's more that she feels honor bound to do so.   Gilley and Betimi are the only ones who can range it down, Jonath and Nacesh can both use the magic missile wand.  She can't.  She can only do something if it enters melee range.  So she feels utterly helpless at doing something she doesn't really want to do.

I continually find good reasons for characters to become circus acrobats... You'd be in Close spell range, if I (or someone else) could toss you upward safely.

I have a question.  I'm curious to know why the wand of Magic Missiles that was given to Nacesh hasn't been brought into play yet?

In case Nacesh missed it, Piper gave him the wand's command word back in post #781.
