[IC] SOLO - Torin's adventure
#71
Torin read the scroll and thereafter he pray/say/sing this praise in the best way.
After this intimate minutes he take away the praise and he seach (take20) this small corridor and the remaining part of the previous room.

Torin retrieves the scroll from the bone tube, unrolls it and tries carefully to decipher without invoking the power within. He eventually realises that it's an arcane scroll of Dispel Magic.

Thereafter he searches through the tunnel and the room but comes up with nothing of interest.

He goes back to room with three gargoyles head and search it (take20). After the search if he didn't find anything then he examines the "keyholes" and try to use his adamantine key in the holes start with the left most.

Torin comes up with no new findings.
As he inserts the key into the leftmost hole it sinks in up to its bow smoothly. As he turns the key effortlessly the gargoyle's mouth snaps shut! (it may be possible to turn the key but not to remove it)

He can hear a mechanism clicking in an irregular pattern until finally the leftmost door (the one next to the keyhole) screeches open. Actually it proves to be a double door with delay between opening the first one sliding east to west and a second one sliding west to east, just barely enough for a fully armoured dwarf to snake his way through in an S shape (see map).

Beyond, assuming Torin dares to pass the door, he can see another vast chamber spanning mostly north and a little to the west, with further ways running east. There are some piles in the NW corner that can't be identified from this distance.

Torin first check the chamber in left side (west), then go to north and have a look in the corridor in his right hand.

There seems to be heaps of moldy earth in the western tunnel.
The eastern tunnel seems to have another fork to the south and ends in open space, possibly another intersection or a chamber spanning from north to south.

Torin goes forward to North. Take a look in the western "tunnel" and after a few step he turn's right.

OOC - Once ago my english teacher said me that: the word earth is used for only the planet. There are several word in hungarian which we can translate to english in two or more self-understanding way, e.g.: nap, hét, föld, ...

The western "tunnel" is actually an alcove, also containing a pile of decomposed material.
Turning east at the northernmost part of the hallway, Torin can see the largest open space in the complex so far, spanning at least thirty by forty feet but the northern end can't be seen from this spot. There's another tunnel or alcove a few steps to the east from his current spot, on the southern side of the hall, and another hallway seems to continue to the south at the southeast corner.

OOC - earth is used as one of the four elements as well, and as a material in general but indeed, in gardening terms, you can use "soil". When describing the walking surface or the zero level electrical potential it's usually called "ground" but you can still use "earth".

Looks like the other two doors can be accessed from this side as well.
There are two more potential ways further to the east.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
