---Everyone---

Every single one of the heroes stops as they step foot into the village and see dozens of brutish looking warriors.  They fit the exact description of the footage of the creatures that raided this town in the first place. The odd thing was, they were all standing perfectly still watching, but utterly unmoving. Even as the Coalition Team clearly saw them, these creatures act as though they couldn't be seen.

Marcus did his best to act like he saw nothing. Though he began positioning himself to where he could get to as many of them as possible when they decided to open up. He didn't want to outright give away anything because he wasn't sure how much American these things spoke. "Hey guys, you remember that old movie were the smuggler ran around the corner to see the room of stormtroopers?  Yea, I'm pretty sure this won't go the same way."

Of course they had all seen the old movie.  But he hoped they would get the reference about not seeing the enemy before they were right on top of them.

Nolan stayed in the rear though he dropped his helm's face shield down and taps the side of the helm to bring up the h.u.d. "Alright gentlemen, I put this on a singular frequency band so my voice only sounds inside your coms.  They are acting like we can't see them, so let's keep up pretenses. With my visor up, they can tell where I'm looking so, I'll try and get a count."

Viego smiled, he asks over the coms, "You want a strafing run boss? I am pretty sure that will startle them. I can drive them to ya if you want." Honestly Viego was itching to use the rail gun.

Tiburon stood still locked and loaded but not pointing his weapons at the warriors as to make sure they didn't know he had seen them. He positioned himself in way he could hit as many of them as possible as he waited for the order to attack.

Amateurs... Aaron muttered under his breath as he continued to sweep the area and pretended to ignore the creatures for now. Seems like they had had some kind of cloaking capabilities, and as someone capable of going invisible at will, Aaron knew all too well that such powers could easily lead to complacency if one didn't stay disciplined.

"Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer." The words suddenly echoed in Aaron's mind. He couldn't remember exactly where he had heard that phrase before, but it seemed particularly appropriate here.

Hearing all the chatter, Cord kept moving forward, looking around and acting as though he could see "nothing unusual", waiting to follow the lead of the others since he still hadn't gotten to work with this group yet.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
