Kalista breathed a sigh of relief as the creature went down. and with a glance at her diminished shadow, she took her breastplate off and looked at her flesh. A handprint was on her midriff. It pulsed with necromantic energy. Dunndero came over and with a glance at the injury expressed his concern.

Toryn picked up Orians shield and sitting on one of the benches he began to bend the metal back and reattach the straps. Oriana sat watching. Lucian stood in the entry by the secret door watching while Larz walked around checking the walls. Breezy moved in and began looking at the devices on the walls...and he realized they were scrying panels. By sitting in front of them he could look into the mess hall where the tables were and they had fought the Kobolds yesterday, then the Ossuary, where they had fought the skeletons that threw their heads, and finally the room with the prayer benches. In each of them he could hear noises mostly just bugs...but in the case of the messhall he could see 4 dog size rats eating kobold corpses. He looked at the tube. and with a little experimenting he found out he could cast his voice into the prayer room by speaking into the tube.

Toryn joined up with Breezy in his exploration of the secret room and watched with fascination as the leshy discovered various surveillance devices. A secret room to spy on the crucible's residents. Fascinating! If we had taken a right turn when first entering this floor, perhaps we may have used this room to our advantage. Ah, but hindsight is always crystal clear, isn't it? And we sorted ourselves out admirably without the need for subterfuge after all.

The gnome inspected the tube and messed around with the scrying panels while Kallista was administered aid. Nasty piece of work, that shadow was; undead creatures always seemed to carry some sort of disease or curse.

Seeing that Kallista is being tended to Dunndero quickly examines the room.

Lucian moves around the room with the others.  He focuses on looking from Magical items of interest.

Larz moved over and examined the handprint and treated the cold flesh, warming it up and applying a salve to it to keep frostbite from setting in but was baffled by what else she might need. Dunndero walked around and noticed there was a secret door, much as the others on the south wall. He pointed it out...to which Breezy chimed in...that he saw it too but got caught up in the scrying devices.

Lucian can tell divination magic was used in the creation of the scrying devices...and Kallista's midriff glows with necromantic energy, which is troubling.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
