Bones and Ashes
#1
The next morning found the group wakening and preparing to go into the tunnels beneath the graveyard. To each adventurer it was not an unusual task. Each had done just this thing...in a former life...in a former body. So while their minds said it was normal, somewhere in them the uncomfortableness of the situation made it less than the norm.

After a wholesome breakfast of fresh warm biscuits and sausage gravy, with some orange juice and Hot apple turnovers prepared especially by Bethana for them, They headed up to The Cathedral to start their day as soon as they were ready.

Remember to put on your sheet
1 lesser healing potion
1 lesser anti-plague
1 salve of anti-paralysis
1 vial of holy water.

[OoC: is that what each of us get, or do we divide those up between us?]

Cutter wakes feeling better then he thought would be possible given his present situation. After studying his spells for the day, he goes outside and begins his morning routine, stretching, flexing and doing a little practice with his rapier. As he does he contemplates his present position. He decides that given the fact that he has been given a second chance at creating a life, This time he'll do his best, to put a better spin on his life, trying to make choices that lean to the side of good.

Once he finishes with his morning routine he goes into the inn for a bit of breakfast. Finding Robsen is the only one awake Cutter slips into the elven tonged , Good morning Robsen, I hope this morning finds you in good spirits brother. Cutter gets his breakfast and joins Robsen at his table. Chip being his normal incorrigible self. Runs down the table stopping just to in front of Robsen's plate, first the little monkey does a little dance, followed by a couple flips. Then he stops bow's deeply, and holds both hands out towards Robsen. Cutter speaks up, still using the elven toung  from the other end of the table. Chip that's enough let brother Robsen enjoy his breakfast without a little Begger trying to get a piece of his apple turnover.

Robsen chuckles snd says in elven, " It appears to be a glorious day, it is alright, he did ask quite politely! Here you go Chip, enjoy!", and with that Robsen breaks off a sizable chunk of his apple turn over and hands it to the adorable rapscaleon.

Chip takes the offered treat, then still holding it in one hand the tiny monkey runs up Robsen's arm using only 3 limbs, when he reaches his shoulder Chip kisses the rangers check lightly and then runs all the way back to Cutters shoulder. I think he likes you Brother.

Benji was up bright and early, looking forward to the prospect of spelunking the tunnel network below the city. Unlike the rest of the group, Benji had not been ripped from body and home and tossed across dimensions into a strange new world, and thus was not saddled with any kind of existential pain. Still, the little bard had resolved to help help shoulder the burdens of his new friends in whatever ways he could.

Benji double checked all his supplies and gear, took some time to organize his little extra-dimensional library, and then waited for Eloric to get ready before heading downstairs for breakfast. It was the group's first official job together, which was exciting, though they had already proven themselves a capable team in the crucible of combat of course.

(casting Pocket Library: Religion with a leftover spell slot before renewing spells for the day)

Robsen tips his hat to the monkey, and says, "I am pleased to be his friend! It is always good to have trusted friends!". Having finished his morning meal Robsen checks his bow and the condition of the string, then checks each of his arrows, ensuring the shafts are true, the sketching us in good condition, and the arrow heads are balanced and razor sharp. He then checks his elven curved blade ensuring it us well honed and sharp, and when done sits down and makes polite conversation with anyone nearby interested in a friendly chat.

Robsen suddenly gets an idea and waves over Cutter and says, Since your friends and Chip looks to be a usefull fellow, perhaps I should show him where in my pack those useful Potions are, that the priest gave us, in case something should happen to me to keep me from retrieving them myself. Can he read, he is a clever fellow?". He then shows the monkey each Potion explaining thier uses and showing where in his pack they may be found.

Absolutely Brother I can't count the number of times Chips saved my bacon over the years. Cutter leans forward and looks chip in the eyes, he whispers, Okay Littles, focus. Then he gently touches Chip between the eyes, and points over at Robsen, Chip is not the playful tiny monkey he was a minute ago, he walked down the table and climbed up on the rangers shoulder and sat absolutely still, Cutter told Robsen. When your showing the potions gently touch him between the eyes, then he knows he has to memorize it.

Cutter sat there watching Chip, interact with the ranger, thinking to himself things could be worse he could be stranded here with out his little buddy. It was a fact that if Cutter had prepared to cross dimensions and could only take one person with him, his first choice would be Chip. Hey Robsen, seeing as you and Chip are getting along so well, I have a question for you, Cutter waits until he has Robsen's attention. When we are tunnel crawling later if shit starts going side ways, and I need to get my little friend to safety would you mind him, coming to where ever your firring from. I just worry knowing we are going after undead, most people don't even notice the little guy, you know dead things senses are a little different.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
