Droskar's Crucible
#11
Arielle whispers to Satoru to wait for a moment and moves on to gaze down the long hallway with her sight, her scent, and a generous casting of Detect Magic of her own.

Breezy follows along with the group keeping to the middle and back of the group near Lucian and Oriana. The small druid kept its eyes open looking for threats and searching for any dangers to the group.

Arielle moves around the corner into the hall, and towards the edge of her vision she picks up a couple Kobold Warriors, similar to what they fought last night. However, their attention was facing into a room rather than down the hall. She paused and relayed the information to Satoru.

Satoru nods to himself and mentally thanks her, then moves up to Dunndero and Kallista to further relay that information to them. Then he moves away and relays the info to the others behind them. He doubted it was that simple and there were probably traps between the kobolds and Arielle, but wouldn’t it be nice to not be surprised for a change?

Toryn quietly moved west to the end of the hallway where a closed doorway awaited. He gave the door a quick look-over, then pressed an ear to it, attempting to make out any signs of life or danger on the other side. Once that was done, he then tested to see if it was unlocked. Perhaps there was an alternate route around the kobold sentries, either through here or by doubling back and exploring the right side of this area first.

Giving Satoru a nod, the Paladin made her way in the direction of the kobolds. keeping as close to the right hand wall as possible until her dark vision picked out the dragonkin.

Satoru moves behind the two of them, keeping the Paladin and his Companion between the enemy and himself, which Arielle telepathically approves him for. Arielle looks at Kallista as she moves up close and nods, keeping her eyes focused down the hall. Were there other scaley bastards down that way? She couldn’t yet see, but where there were two…

…and there they were. That information goes silently up the chain.

[[Satoru stays out of the line of fire. Arielle continues to Detect, Scent, and look.]]

Arielle and Kallista could make out 3 Kobold warriors, 2 on this side and 1 on the other side of what looked to be a chamber that the hall bisected. The warriors all seemed to be looking into the chamber . Toryn moved up to the door, and looked it over, seeing nothing starting, he tried the latch and it wasnt locked. He hadnt opened it yet, he looked around at the others first. Satoru was closest but his attention was on Arielle. Dunndero was about 15' feet back with Kallista and Arielle around the corner in the hall.

Kallista paused because she swores she heard a voice say something in a language she didnt understand up ahead. It sounded threatening though.

Slowly, the paladin back peddled a bit until she was at the beginning of the hall. Gesturing to the others, she said softly. 3 Kobolds, but I heard someone inside talking and it sounded threatening though I can't make out the language.

Dunndero move with Kallista, readying his handaxe to throw, should a quick ranged attack should become necessary, trying to communicate Silently through hand jesters, so as to not give away the groups presence to the kobalds.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
